We present a general proof that Dirac particles cannot be localized below their Compton length by symmetric but otherwise arbitrary scalar potentials. This proof does not invoke the Heisenberg uncertainty relation and thus does not rely on the nonrelativistic linear momentum relation. Further it is argued that the result is also applicable for more general potentials, as e.g. generated by nonlinear interactions. Finally a possible realisation of such a system is proposed.
The general Dirac equation in 1+1 dimensions with a potential with a completely general Lorentz structure is studied. Considering mixed vector-scalar-pseudoscalar square potentials, the states of relativistic fermions are investigated. This relativis
We present a covariant quantum formalism for scalar particles based on an enlarged Hilbert space. The particular physical theory can be introduced through a timeless Wheeler DeWitt-like equation, whose projection onto four-dimensional coordinates lea
We consider the Dirac equation on periodic networks (quantum graphs). The self-adjoint quasi periodic boundary conditions are derived. The secular equation allowing us to find the energy spectrum of the Dirac particles on periodic quantum graphs is o
This study concerns the two-body scattering of particles in a one-dimensional periodic potential. A convenient ansatz allows for the separation of center-of-mass and relative motion, leading to a discrete Schrodinger equation in the relative motion t
An efficient solution of the Dirac Hamiltonian flow equations has been proposed through a novel expandsion with the inverse of the Dirac effective mass. The efficiency and accuracy of this new expansion have been demonstrated by reducing a radial Dir
