The sunspot solar cycle has been usually explained as the result of a dynamo process operating in the sun. This is a classical problem in Astrophysics that until the present is not fully solved. Here we discuss current problems and limitations with the solar dynamo modeling and their possible solutions using a kinematic dynamo model within the Babcock-Leighton approximation as a tool. In particular, we discuss the importance of the turbulent magnetic pumping versus the meridional flow circulation in the dynamo operation.
We investigate to what extent the current helicity distribution observed in solar active regions is compatible with solar dynamo models. We use an advanced 2D mean-field dynamo model with dynamo action largely concentrated near the bottom of the conv
The choice of free parameters in surface flux transport (SFT) models describing the evolution of the large-scale poloidal magnetic field of the Sun is critical for the correct reproduction of the polar magnetic flux built up during a solar cycle, whi
The phenomenon of solar torsional oscillations (TO) represents migratory zonal flows associated with the solar cycle. These flows are observed on the solar surface and, according to helioseismology, extend through the convection zone. We study the or
Wireless networks have been widely deployed for many Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications, like smart cities and precision agriculture. Low Power Wide Area Networking (LPWAN) is an emerging IoT networking paradigm to meet three key requirements of I
We prove that sign problems in the traditional approach to some lattice Yukawa models can be completely solved when the fermions are formulated using fermion bags and the bosons are formulated in the worldline representation. We prove this within the
