We study field models for which a quantum action (i.e. the action appearing in the generating functional of Green functions) is invariant under supersymmetric transformations. We derive the Ward identity which is direct consequence of this invariance . We consider a change of variables in functional integral connected with supersymmetric transformations when its parameter is replaced by a nilpotent functional of fields. Exact form of the corresponding Jacobian is found. We find restrictions on generators of supersymmetric transformations when a consistent quantum description of given field theories exists.
We introduce two remarkable identities written in terms of single commutators and anticommutators for any three elements of arbitrary associative algebra. One is a consequence of other (fundamental identity). From the fundamental identity, we derive a set of four identities (one of which is the Jacobi identity) represented in terms of double commutators and anticommutators. We establish that two of the four identities are independent and show that if the fundamental identity holds for an algebra, then the multiplication operation in that algebra is associative. We find a generalization of the obtained results to the super case and give a generalization of the fundamental identity in the case of arbitrary elements. For nondegenerate even symplectic (super)manifolds, we discuss analogues of the fundamental identity.
We study a possibility of Lagrangian formulation for free higher spin bosonic totally symmetric tensor field on the background manifold characterizing by the arbitrary metric, vector and third rank tensor fields in framework of BRST approach. Assumin g existence of massless and flat limits in the Lagrangian and using the most general form of the operators of constraints we show that the algebra generated by these operators will be closed only for constant curvature space with no nontrivial coupling to the third rank tensor and the strength of the vector fields. This result finally proves that the consistent Lagrangian formulation at the conditions under consideration is possible only in constant curvature Riemann space.
We explore a new possibility of BRST construction in higher spin field theory to obtain a consistent Lagrangian for massive spin-2 field in Einstein space. Such approach automatically leads to gauge invariant Lagrangian with suitable auxiliary and St uckelberg fields. It is proved that in this case a propagation of spin-2 field is hyperbolic and causal. Also we extend notion of partial masslessness for spin-2 field in the background under consideration.
In this paper we analyse the structure of the BRST charge of nonlinear superalgebras. We consider quadratic non-linear superalgebras where a commutator (in terms of (super) Poisson brackets) of the generators is a quadratic polynomial of the generato rs. We find the explicit form of the BRST charge up to cubic order in Faddeev-Popov ghost fields for arbitrary quadratic nonlinear superalgebras. We point out the existence of constraints on structure constants of the superalgebra when the nilpotent BRST charge is quadratic in Faddeev-Popov ghost fields. The general results are illustrated by simple examples of superalgebras.

We analyze from a general perspective all possible supersymmetric generalizations of symplectic and metric structures on smooth manifolds. There are two different types of structures according to the even/odd character of the corresponding quadratic tensors. In general we can have even/odd symplectic supermanifolds, Fedosov supermanifolds and Riemannian supermanifolds. The geometry of even Fedosov supermanifolds is strongly constrained and has to be flat. In the odd case, the scalar curvature is only constrained by Bianchi identities. However, we show that odd Riemannian supermanifolds can only have constant scalar curvature. We also point out that the supersymmetric generalizations of AdS space do not exist in the odd case.

Generalizations of symplectic and metric structures for supermanifolds are analyzed. Two types of structures are possible according to the even/odd character of the corresponding quadratic tensors. In the even case one has a very rich set of geometri c structures: even symplectic supermanifolds (or, equivalently, supermanifolds with non-degenerate Poisson structures), even Fedosov supermanifolds and even Riemannian supermanifolds. The existence of relations among those structures is analyzed in some details. In the odd case, we show that odd Riemannian and Fedosov supermanifolds are characterized by a scalar curvature tensor. However, odd Riemannian supermanifolds can only have constant curvature.
We study the construction of the classical nilpotent canonical BRST charge for the nonlinear gauge algebras where a commutator (in terms of Poisson brackets) of the constraints is a finite order polynomial of the constraints.
It is proven that the nilpotent $Delta$-operator in the field-antifield formalism can be constructed in terms of an antisymplectic structure only.
