The incidence and disability rate of stroke is increasing with a reported 75 % of stroke survivors having some cognitive dysfunction and there deficits can seriously affect the patients quality of life . Objective : to observe the effect of visual stimulating on cognitive function in stroke patients. Setting : the study was carried out in internal department neurology . Subjects: The sample comprised 30 stroke patients with cognitive dysfunction were divided in to two groups (n=15 in each group ) .The control group received the hospital therapies . The experimental group received visual stimulating program and this program was administered for 30 mints once a day four times a week for four weeks . all patients were screened with (Moca) both before and after the 4 weeks of intervention . Results :the experimental group increased their score for attention , concentration and memory . the patients in the control group decreased their scores in cognitive function. Conclusion : Visual stimulating program could improve cognitive function of patients with stroke. Recommendations: Hospitals should schedule visual stimulation in their rehabilitation programs for patients with stroke.

Upper abdominal surgery patients are considered more vulnerable to changes in pulmonary function and therefore to acute decrease in respiratory function. physical treatment techniques play an important role, especially deep breathing exercises and th e use of incentive spirometry device as well as walking, which have an important role in improving pulmonary function. here lies the nursing role in the training of patients to use those technologies and encouraging them toapplyearlypostoperatively. The aims of the study is toassess the effect of implementing nursing policy (deep breathing exercises , the use of incentive spirometer and walking) on respiratory function among upper abdominal surgery patients. The sample comprised 45 patients chosen randomly from thetwogenders who were prepared to upper abdominal surgery in Al-Assad University Hospital,Each patient implemented nursing policy and assessed pulmonary functionby using a spirometer device and measured the degree of arterial blood oxygen saturation by Oxygenation –pulse measurement. We can notice from the results of this study that the implement of nursing policy contributed to the preservation of respiratory function in patients with the two experimental groups , particularly in the experimental group 2, which have the lower decrease in the pulmonary functions values and the degree of arterial blood oxygen saturation .
Hepatitis C is affected by human behaviors especially drugs , diets ,activities smoking , sexy behaviors and alcohol , so it is very important to change health behaviors by patient to control of disease and avoid complications . Objective : to ass ess the effects of health behaviors on liver function among hepatitis C patients .Setting :The study was carried out in the Chronic Liver Hepatitis Center in Alwatany hospitalization in Lattakia province.Subjects::Thesample comprised 40 patients chosen randomly from the two genders who have hepatitis C out in the chronic liver hepatitis center in Alwatany hospitalization in Lattakia province during the research time. Tool :Data were collected using the following tools:Tool I Questionnaire: It was developed by the researcher and include items related to: demographic patients data , clinical data , questions about ( patients , information of disease , risk factors, healthy behaviors : (diet – treatment regimens – activities and habits)) Tool II : Liver function assessment sheet by using Child Pugh scale.Tool III :Patientcompliance check list which include questions about complianceGuidenceProshor.guide line has been developed by the researcherThe patients participated in 3 sessions .Each session (45minutes).Results: liver function were advanced of patient at the experimental group which applied the guide line more than patient at the control group because of Appling guide line .Recommendations : Chronic Liver Hepatitis Centers have been containing proshorsshow the impact of these health behaviors on the liver work and performing their functions as normal.
Cardiogenic embolism can be identified in at least 15% of ischemic stroke patients, left atrial appendage is believed to be the place where thrombi is performed, then goes to systemic circulation causing embolic accident . In this search we study the function of left atrial appendage by pulse Doppler within the proximal third of the appendage in patients with ischemic stroke. Thrombus was defined as a discrete echocardiographically dens mass within the body of atrium or the appendage, with a different echocardiographically density than the adjacent endothelium . Spontaneous echo contrast was defined as high density flow due to low flow condition , which remains stable with changes in gain setting . In conclusion , the velocities which recorded in patients with ischemic stroke were lower in comparison with other patients , and it was significant lower in patients with spontaneous echo contrast or atrial fibrillation .
Patients in the intensive care unit (ICU), especially ventilated patients, are at considerable risk of developing ocular surface disease because the protective eye mechanisms are damage, as decrease eyelid closure ,unable blinking, decreased produc ing tears, increased expose the eye to pathogen bacteria . These factors often result in incomplete lid closure and expose and decay the eye, and this called the exposure keratopathy, which appear that high rate with ventilated patients. The eye care is a part of the providing care to every patient in critical care units. Whereas the Unconscious and Sedation and paralysis patients are the most serious group and the most need to the eye care for maintain the eye in a state of normal.objective:To determine the effect kind of eye care policy on incidence rate of exposure keratopathyamong mechanically ventilated patients.
Health of citizens considers a prime target for all forms care, which tends approaching entrusted with the provision of medical health care services and nursing towards providing the necessary about it. But it is clear from the experience the daily r eality it is necessary to improve the the performance of health care. The nursing services of key resources that will ensure access to the aspirations of the communities of development, health and wellness. Where nursing is a backbone of any health care and a cornerstone of its corners in all parts of the world, therefore, the quality and performance at work is an important part of the quality of health care provided to the patient. This study aimed to determine the effect of the application of a training program on the quality of nursing performance in measurement of Apgar scale in complex medical Assad in Hama province. The study sample consisted selected 30 nurses form nurses working in neonatal resuscitation department. The result showed Effect the training program to raise the hairy-quality ratio performance in measur4ement of Apgar scale. Where the percentage of hairy quality of the experimental group before the application of the program 57%, after the application of the program directly 95%, and after three months 84%, while the percentage remained comparable t5o the control group that were not applied to the training program and stood before the application of the program 60%, after the application of the program 58%, and after three months 59%, which indicates that there is no change in the performance of nursing through three stages.
