The aim of this study is to determine strength of adhesive single-lap joints of Aluminum alloys which are widely used in geometric applications. It was investigated to define the influence of overlap length and surface roughness value on shear strength of achieved adhesive joints. It was used Epoxy and Acrylic adhesives to prepare adhesive joints and all the specimens were subjected to axial tensile tests and the results are presented as a comparison. Results of those tests showed that shear strength increased with increasing each of overlap length and surface roughness of adherends and Acrelicadhesiveproduced4better results according to failure mode of tested samples.

research The aim of this is to find an explicit relationship between the strength of fibers, bundle and yarns. The CV values of the strength are given as well. This provides a relatively simple method for estimation of staple yarn strength, while a voiding some difficulties of an empirical method. The effects of important factors such as fiber length and thickness, twist and count of yarn are considered. The results are verified by published data in Mechanical Engineering of Textile Industries and Their Technologies, Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Damascus University. and also in Al-Kumasiah company in Damascus city. This research provides suggestions if we apply it it will help in estimating directly the yarn strength without manufacturing and suitable testing of the yarn.
the scientific researches go towards applying practical and scientific experiments to achieve these goals. From this point, we try in our research to create strength and increase it for ceramic tiles at phases with lower temperature degree than what is used in industry.
Recently, the importance of high Strength concrete has appeared due to its application in manufacturing most of the concrete structures and members, as well as to its importance in the implementation of civilian facilities like bridge bases, skyscr apers and in implementing the columns and platforms which carry oil installations carried out in the oceans and seas. The research aims to design concrete mixtures with cylindrical resistors ( 55- 65- 75 Mpa) according to the American code AcI-211-4R-93 by using local and appropriate additions as well as explaining the method used in designing. Then, studying the transformation in stress strain curve – deformation (σ- ζ ) undergoing a simple pressure on the previous samples throughout the available devices. Then, it was compared to the charts obtained mathematically .Law behaviour of stress strain and deformation curve was rated, in addition to modulus of elasticity taken from the chart. Couple of results and recommendations related to the issue were concluded, those which were applied in praxis.
New resin systems( di-methacrylates) were developed to improve the mechanical and physical properties of provivinal to investigate mechanical srength(edge- strength, diametrical tensile strength) and polymrrization(degree of conversion) of three newdi-methacrylates provisionals, and one of mono-methacrylate.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the shear and tensile bond strengths of orthodontic brackets bonded with self etching primer and resin-reinforced glass ionomer cement in comparison with light cured resin adhesive. The tested self-etching primer and adhesive systems produced bond strength values higher than that of the light cured resin adhesive whereas the resin-reinforced glass ionomer cement showed a significantly reduced bond strength . Clinically, the use of self-etching primer and adhesive systems is suitable for orthodontic bracket bonding.
