This research aims to study the effect of adding inorganic waste (Marble powder - glass powder) on the volumetric and longitudinal shrinkage curves at unsaturated polyester resin, tests showed that samples exposed to volumetric and longitudinal shrink and occurrence of consecutive gradients in volumetric shrinkage values. Whatever the ratio of the added materials (marble powder - the glass powder) will effect the behaviour of the unsaturated polyester hardening, that means it will effect the volumetric shrinkage. It is necessary to study the volumetric and longitudinal shrinkage values because they affect the product size to be dealt with, this value should be taken into account in the design so that should be added this amount of volumetric shrinkage to the dimensions to designed templates in order to avoid potential variations occurring in the final product. Preliminary results showed that the value of volumetric shrinkage got up (5%) and the curves tend to stability, almost three weeks after the initial hardening incident.

This research aims to study the effect of heat treatment on curing of reinforced Unsaturated Polyester Resin (UPR) with fiberglass, and to study the effect of storage time and the time of exposure to natural aging on curves absorption. The results showed that it is very difficult to reach a fully curing to UPR matrix, and Storage samples for three years reveal resistance to degradation in fresh and seawater comparing with storage samples for three months, or aging by exposed to environmental for three years. The results showed also that the absorption occurs by thin film, and not prevent by increasing the layers of reinforcement
This search aims to study the effect of additive materials ( Ethyl Methyl Keton Peroxide MEKP , Cobalt Naphthenate ) at the important values of (stress-strain) curves ( stress and elongation at break ) for the preparing specimens from reinforced an d nonreinforced with fiber glass unsaturated polyester resin. The result showed that the investigated parameters are clearly affected with using additive materials and the optimum concentration for non-reinforced specimens which was curing in room temperature was (1% MEKP + 1% Cobalt Naphthenate) and (0.8% MEKP + 1% Cobalt Naphthenate), and for reinforced specimens with fiber glass was:( 1% MEKP + 0.8% Cobalt Naphthenate) and ((0.2-0.4) % MEKP + 1% Cobalt Naphthenate). The results showed also that it is possible to get the better values of tensile stress at break when the specimens was curing in oven at 100 Cº and treated at this temperature for 15 min.
This paper is targeting towards studying on the possibility to modify some properties of unsaturated Polyester compounds by adding rubber materials in order to improve its flexibility property. For this target, Waste of cars' tires was used in two forms powder and pieces, and the liquid rubber Styrene-butadiene was used as another type of rubber. After that the modification was detected by measuring the possibility of the resulted compound materials to absorb vibration power, and reduce the noise that is produced by eccentric crankshaft circulation at different rotating speeds, (300, 500, 700) rpm. Test results demonstrate that there will be Modification in the construction of the compounds at low rotating speeds (300 rpm). On the other hand, it demonstrates different results at high rotating speeds.
This experiment investigates the effect of aluminum powder as metallic filler of unsaturated thermosetting polyester resin on the wear rate and its mechanisms according to time. The obtained results show that the rate of wear increases with increa se of time as a result of increase the temperature generated of friction in all specimens. But when we add the particles either Aluminum to polyester matrix, the rate of wear reduce as a result of increase the thermal conductivity of polyester matrix, that leads reduction of the temperature of contact surface, that leads less wear. We study the mechanisms of wear by microscope of the worn surface. It found that the predominant mechanisms of wear vary from adhesive wear at the lowest value of test time to abrasive wear (3- body) at the highest value of test time.
This research aims to study the effect of addition the filling materials (sodium aluminosilicate, Talc) to the unsaturated polyester(unsaturated polyester resign)(UPR) first, and unsaturated polyester reinforced by fiberglass (20%) secondly, Number o f mechanical tests were done, they included (Tensile, Flexural Strength). The effect of addition of filling materials sodium aluminosilicate (SAS), Talc, and a mixture of sodium aluminosilicate and Talc to the unreinforced polyester with fiberglass was studied in the first step of the research, and the results showed that the best values were gotten when adding a mixture of ((SAS) and Talc) at ratio (10% SAS,5% Talc), where the tensile strength value raised up from (31.2 MPa) to (33 MPa), and the elastic module value also raised up from (2330 MPa) to (2750.5 MPa) , and the flexural strength value also raised up from (0.057 GPa) to (0.0729 GPa). The effect of addition of filling materials (sodium aluminosilicate, Talc, and a mixture of sodium aluminosilicate and Talc ) to the reinforced polyester with fiberglass (20%) was studied in the second step of the research, and the results showed that the best values were gotten when adding a mixture of ((SAS) and Talc) at ratio (5% SAS,5% Talc), where the tensile strength value raised up from (101.7 MPa) to (108.8 MPa), and the elastic module value also raised up from (5616 MPa) to (6367.9 MPa), and the flexural strength value raised up from (0.1203 GPa) to (0.1597 GPa).
