This paper presents a new method for studying the bulk cargo behavior and its effects on righting lever. Effects of cargo sliding in holds are computed for each heel angle. The deficiency of righting lever is quantitatively computed and plotted on the designed application windows. For the first time a three characterizing angles are presented here, what offer a new clear vision about the cargo sliding steps.

In order to calculate the cross curve of stability related to ship form the water line of equal volume corresponding to each load draught should be determined. Therefore complex and long steps of mathematical calculations should be done for each ve ssel displacement. The goal of this research is to build a mathematical model enables the determination of cross curve of stability related to ship form for all ship displacements. This model is based on reading of the transverse sections of the ship projected on to a vertical transverse plane of the body plan. This method does not need to previous assumptions to perform calculations therefore the calculations accuracy could be increased in comparison with other methods currently in use to evaluate the transvers stability for ships. The efficiency of this method has been proven in saving time as well as in giving good results by comparing it with the analytical results for ships of box and trigonometric forms. The comparison includes Pozduinin approximate method which is largely used in ship world as well as the stability curves for real commercial ship. The good results of evaluation of cross curves of stability by the proposed method (scanning sections method) allow to generalize its use for validation of ship stability and other works research.
The study of the dynamic behavior of the rolling ship on sea waves is one of most interesting topics, due to its close association with the ship stability and its direct impact on the efficiency of the work of some of the systems and processes inside the hull. This research includes an explanation of the proposed mathematical model to study the dynamic behavior of the rolling ship on regular sinusoidal waves in order to calculate the Transfer Function of ship response continued to the act of wave-induced transverse oscillation and thus determine the frequency of resonance and the maximum value for the Transfer Function. A computer program was prepared to perform calculations according to the proposed model, which allowed studying the effect of some parameters of the investment of the vessel (ship speed, and the angle of its route for the main direction of spread of the waves) at a frequency of resonance and the maximum value for the Transfer Function, and also allowed to study the effect of Some of the parameters of the surrounding medium (wave frequency) to the maximum value for the Transfer Function. Through this research, it had been reached to extract mathematical equation which allows a precise and clear explanation of the dynamic behavior of the ship rolling on waves.
100 samples of some tradional ice cream sold in Damascus to customers have been analyzed for coliform, Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella during the last three year. The study showed that the rate of rejection for Syrian normal standard was 85. 71 % for coliform, 9.89 % for Staph. aureus and 0 % for Salmonella . In addition to identification of E.coli often found in ice cream there were Enterobacter cloacae, Klebsiella planticola or Klebsiella oxytoca and to less degree Citrobacter freundii .
This research is done in an experiment by plaster in the circumstances of Homs. The aim of this paper to study the effect of adding four different levels of phosphogypsum as much as (0.00, 6.72, 13.44, 20.16)ton / hectare (three replicates for eac h treatment) on bulk density and structure stability for clay soil has taken from (Kattina). The results showed improvement in the stability of the structure of soil specially (0.25-1)mm, increasing in aggregation degree , increasing of the rate of total porosity ,air filled porosity in comparison to the control at the two levels(13.44, 20.16)ton/hectare and also by increasing the added level . Whereas the dispersion ratio , and Bulk density were decreased when increasing the level of phosphogypsum at the same two levels. The main achieved results in this study showed , a significant increase in aggregation degree in the soil when increasing the ratio of the added phosphogypsum at the levels( 6.72, 13.44, 20.16) in comparasion with control . In other way the dispersion ratio was decreased and had negative relationship when increasing the level of the added phosphogypsum in comparasion with control .
This research presents an experimental study about the effect of steel fibers on the main variables of stress- strain curve for high strength concrete on simple compression, which are: shape of stress- strain curve, ductility factor, energy absorpt ion capacity. For this purpose, series of cylinders concrete specimens were prepared in compressive strength (70 MPa). the steel fiber with aspect ratio of L/D =70 were added at the volume fractions of (0-1-1.5-2)%. The cylinders were tested under a monotonic loading at compression, and as a result of the tests, the total curve of stress- strain was obtained. The experimental results of research showed a positive effect of steel fibers on the behavior of high strength concrete, this effect increased with increasing volume fraction of steel fibers. It can be seen from stress-strain curve, whereas the slope of the ascending branch is not much affected. The descending branch of the stress- strain curve decreases by the increase in the fiber volume fraction. This means the ductility and toughness improve with the addition of steel fibers and as a result the behavior of high strength concrete has gone far away from being brittle as it is used to be.
