The study concludes with some recommendations where the researcher recommended activating governance in companies contributing to Syria through the commitment of all companies listed on the stock and financial markets, the application of the rules of governance well to this application of a positive impact on improving the quality of financial statements, and thus the ability of the external auditor to assess the likelihood of fraud.

This research mainly aims to study the relationship between the cash management for future financial performance of a sample of securities included in the Syrian Commission on Financial Markets companies. With the assumption that there is an optim al level of cash (expected and necessary level of operations and investment), and then it was determined that level and calculating deviations of the actual level of cash for optimum value and the study of the relationship between those distractions future financial performance. Among the most important results that have been reached that the research is to increase the actual level of cash will improve the future profitability of the facility, showing that the monetary deviations from the optimal level does not significantly affect the .future financial performance.
This Research aims to study the role of voluntary disclosure in consolidating trust in financial reports. To achieve this goal, a questionnaire was used as a tool in gathering the necessary data. The questionnaire was distributed to the two samples o f the study; 48 questionnaires were distributed to the external auditors accredited by SCFMS, and 44 were distributed to the internal auditors in the listed companies of DSE. Of the returned questionnaires, there were (40, 36) returned from the first and second sample by turns. SPSS was used in analyzing the data and testing the hypothesis. The research found that the voluntary disclosures effectively consolidate the trust in the financial reports of the Listed Companies of DSE, and there were no material differences between the opinions of the two samples.
This research aimed at studying the impact of firm characteristics on the level of social responsibility disclosure by firms subject to the rules of The Syrian Commission on Financial Markets and Securities. The research was applied on 38 companies for which data was available from 2007-2013. To measure the level of firms’ social responsibility disclosure, the dependent variable, an index was built based on the KLD index. Firm characteristics, the independent variables, that were examined are: profitability, financial leverage, age, industrial sector, size, managerial ownership, institutional ownership and foreign ownership. Data were hand collected from the annual reports of the firms in question and analyzed following the random effect model, of the panel data models. The results indicate that the size of the firm and its profitability are positively linked to its social responsibility disclosure. No effect however was detected for the age of the firm, the industrial sector, and the ownership structure. The results also reveal that the Syrian crisis had a positive effect on the level of social responsibility disclosure, as these firms increased disclosure of social responsibility related to community service, particularly those related to the support of martyrs families and war casualities.
This research aimed to identify the reality and obstacles of corporate social responsibility disclosure in firms subject to the regulations of the Syrian Commission on Financial Markets & Securities. To achieve the purpose of the study, data was co llected for 29 firms registered in the Commission whereby the managers of these firms responded to the questionnaire. Data was analyzed using percentages, frequencies, and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Results of the study showed that the Syrian firms include social responsibility issues in their work strategies, and that the Syrian government worked on the issuance of many laws that regulate and guide the work of firms in the field of social responsibility. However, the results also revealed that the weakness in legislations related to the disclosure of corporate social responsibility; the weakness in the firm’s culture towards the concept of social responsibility; the costs arising from disclosure and related to the collection and dissemination of information; and the negative impact of disclosure costs on the profitability of the disclosing firm are all obstacles toward corporate social responsibility disclosure.
The aim of this study is to explore the determinants of the capital structure in Joint Stock Companies that subject to the supervision of Syrian Commission on Financial Markets and Securities, focusing on the period (2007-2011). The research try to explore whether the decision of the firms concerning the financial leverage is in conformity with the patterns proclaimed in previous studies. The study summarized the relation between the accountancy indicators and financial structure of the Joint Stock Companies in Syria by using multi-regression analysis. The study included the following independent variables: size; age; profitability; volatility; liquidity; growth prospects; tangibility; ownership structure; and taxes. On the other hand, the leverage ratio represented the variable related to the company’s financial structure. The study concluded that the leverage ratio in the Syrian companies is about (48%). In addition, the study concluded a statistically significant positive relationship (at 5% significance level) between the financial structure of Syrian companies and all of the company's size; profitability; and ownership structure. The study also found that there is a significant negative relationship (at 5% significance level) between the financial structure of Syrian companies and all of the company's volatility; liquidity; and tangibility. Finally, no evidence has been provided by the study about the relationship between financial structure and all of the company's life; the expected growth; and the company's tax.
