Our study included (84) patients: 86 cases suffering from chronic osteomyelitis: various causes, location and degrees. All patients operated: after curettage of necrotic and infected tissues; system of continuous irrigation with antibiotics was inserted to the infected zone; all cases were followed up for 1 year. 86% of positive results were obtained and results were bad in 14% of cases> The high positive results (86%) confirm high effect of continuous irrigation with antibiotics as a good method for chronic osteomyelitis treatment, because this method allows delivery of suitable antibiotics in high concentration into the infected area, which is enough to kill microbes and allows to obtain best results.

the sample consisted of 36 patients who were admitted in alassad and tishreen hospital between 2013-2016 with bacterial arthritis proved by clinical, radiological and laboratory methods. They went uder surgical intervention ,during it,a continuous i rrigation system was accomplished according to designed plan. The irrigation period was 12 days (mean) with mean hospitalization period 12 days. Irrigation fluid was considered regarding to culture and susceptibility results in addition to antibiotic qualities .Results were collected depending on joint functional activitiy return regarding to capacity, bearing and stability(after a month-3 months- year),as well as natural laboratory and vlinical features return .we used the criteria healing (irrigation handout). The joint functional activity returned after a month in (70% mean) ,after 3 months in (77% mean), after a year in (89% mean).while the clinical infection signs fell back after a week in (85% mean) ,after a month in (92% mean), after 3 months in ( 97%). The laboratory signs fell back after a month in (91% mean), after 3 months in (97% mean). A comparing was achieved between these results and irrigation period ,hospitalization period by using CHI² test . The use of continuous irrigation system in treatment of bacterial arthritis once it is diagnosed (in regard to designed plan, irrigation fluid qualities and the host condition) improves the joint functional activity and reduces hospitalization period so that ,it lessens economic load and accelerates the return professional activity.
Self-medication with antibiotics is a worldwide problem and led to several problems such as antimicrobial resistance. A descriptive cross-sectional questionnaire-based study was conducted in Latakia city. Among 259 participants, 204(78.8%) reported a ntibiotics self-medication within past one year. Respiratory problems such as common cold were the main indication for self-medication with antibiotics (62.9%) and amoxicillin+ clavulanic acid was the most antibiotic commonly used (35.37%). The results of this study confirm that self-medication with antibiotics is a frequent problem in Latakia city.
The work demonstrates the importance of calculation of zenith angel of the primer magnetic field of the transmitter-station through knowledge of the coordinates of both transmitter-station and measure- area due to the use of special equations. They h ave great importance for electromagnetically field measurements. The direction angels have been calculated for most famous transmitter-stations in some different areas of SYRIA (DRAA and SUWEDA). According to the results, these angels differed with the variation of coordinates of the transmitter in the same location, and some field measurements have confirmed this method.
Background:Microscopic colitis (MC) encompasses collagenous and lymphocytic colitis and is diagnosed by histopathological changes of random biopsies which tacken from each segment of normal macroscopically colonic mucosae from patients who have ch ronic watery diarrhea of unknown etiology. Aims:Prevalence of microscopic colitis in patients with chronic watery diarrhea and have endoscopically normal colon . Materials and Methods:We prospectively enrolled 84 patients reviewed in ALASSAD and TISHREEN HOSPITALS between March 2015 until June 2016 .These patients were having watery diarrhea more than 3 times a day for more 4 weeks. Atotal 84 patients were enrolled for a total colonoscopy until terminal ileum . Two biopsies were obtained from all colonic segments and terminal ileum for diagnosed of microscopic colitis. On histopathologic examination, criteria for lymphocytic colitis (intraepithelial lymphocyte ≥ 20 per 100 surface epithelial cells, change in surface epithelium, mononuclear infiltration of the lamina propria) and collagenous colitis (subepithelial collagen band thickness ≥ 10 μm) were explored. Results:Microscopic colitis was diagnosed in 33 (39%)patients {22lymphocytic colitis,11collagenous colitis} . Female/Male: 15/18, mean age at diagnosis of microscopic colitis : 37 year, range: 20-69, the median duration of diarrhea: 9.5 monthes , the median number of bowel movements per day:5 times .And the common symptoms are: abdominal pain and flatulence. Conclusion :Biopsy of Syrian patients with the diagnosis of chronic watery diarrhea of unknown etiology and normal colonoscopic findings will reveal microscopic colitis in approximately 39% of the patients. Lymphocytic colitis is two times more frequent than collagenous colitis in these patients.
Aim of Study: The antimicrobial intracanal medication was used widely, and the most common was calcium hydroxide dressing, which must be removed from the root canal before obturation, hence this study aimed to comparative efficacy of EndoVac and Navi Tip 30 G irrigation Needles with Naocl and CHX 2% in removing calcium hydroxide dressing from the apical third of root canal. Materials &Methods: Forty single root and canal teeth were decoronated to the length of 16 mm. Each root was prepared to the apical foramen using ProTaper Universal Hand System to size 40. Each tooth was embedded in silicone putty to create a set matrix, which allowed reassembly of the tooth for irrigation tests after splitting longitudinally. Then each tooth was split into two halves and an artificial groove (L:4, W:0,2 , D:0,5 ) was cut in one half of the root canal wall 1 mm from the apex ,which was then filled with a Ca(OH)2 paste. Digital images were taken before reassembling under stereomicroscope X40. Subsequently the two halves of roots were reassemble with wax , and remounted in their silicone matrixes, then divided into 2 groups.
