We apply the Born-Jordan and Weyl quantization formulas for polynomials in canonical coordinates to the constants of motion of some examples of the superintegrable 2D anisotropic harmonic oscillator. Our aim is to study the behaviour of the algebra of the constants of motion after the different quantization procedures. In the examples considered, we have that the Weyl formula always preserves the original superintegrable structure of the system, while the Born-Jordan formula, when producing different operators than the Weyls one, does not.

The measurement of a quantum system becomes itself a quantum-mechanical process once the apparatus is internalized. That shift of perspective may result in different physical predictions for a variety of reasons. We present a model describing both system and apparatus and consisting of a harmonic oscillator coupled to a field. The equation of motion is a quantum stochastic differential equation. By solving it we establish the conditions ensuring that the two perspectives are compatible, in that the apparatus indeed measures the observable it is ideally supposed to.
We consider the model of a quantum harmonic oscillator governed by a Lindblad master equation where the typical drive and loss channels are multi-photon processes instead of single-photon ones; this implies a dissipation operator of order 2k with integer k>1 for a k-photon process. We prove that the corresponding PDE makes the state converge, for large time, to an invariant subspace spanned by a set of k selected basis vectors; the latter physically correspond to so-called coherent states with the same amplitude and uniformly distributed phases. We also show that this convergence features a finite set of bounded invariant functionals of the state (physical observables), such that the final state in the invariant subspace can be directly predicted from the initial state. The proof includes the full arguments towards the well-posedness of the corresponding dynamics in proper Banach spaces of Hermitian trace-class operators equipped with adapted nuclear norms. It relies on the Hille-Yosida theorem and Lyapunov convergence analysis.
The isotropic harmonic oscillator in dimension 3 separates in several different coordinate systems. Separating in a particular coordinate system defines a system of three commuting operators, one of which is the Hamiltonian. We show that the joint spectrum of the Hamilton operator, the $z$ component of the angular momentum, and a quartic integral obtained from separation in prolate spheroidal coordinates has quantum monodromy for sufficiently large energies. This means that one cannot globally assign quantum numbers to the joint spectrum. The effect can be classically explained by showing that the corresponding Liouville integrable system has a non-degenerate focus-focus point, and hence Hamiltonian monodromy.

The classical quantization of a Lienard-type nonlinear oscillator is achieved by a quantization scheme (M.C. Nucci. Theor. Math. Phys., 168:997--1004, 2011) that preserves the Noether point symmetries of the underlying Lagrangian in order to construct the Schrodinger equation. This method straightforwardly yields the correct Schrodinger equation in the momentum space (V. Chithiika Ruby, M. Senthilvelan, and M. Lakshmanan. J. Phys. A: Math. Gen., 45:382002, 2012), and sheds light into the apparently remarkable connection with the linear harmonic oscillator.
In the study of periodic media, conditionally convergent series are frequently encountered and their regularization is crucial for applications. We derive an identity that regularizes two-dimensional generalized Eisenstein series for all Bravais lattices, yielding physically meaningful values. We also obtain explicit forms for the generalized series in terms of conventional Eisenstein series, enabling their closed-form evaluation for important high symmetry lattices. Results are then used to obtain representations for the related cylindrical harmonic sums, which are also given for all Bravais lattices. Finally, we treat displaced lattices of high symmetry, expressing them in terms of origin-centered lattices via geometric multi-set identities. These identities apply to all classes of two-dimensional sums, allowing sums to be evaluated over each constituent of a unit cell that possesses multiple inclusions.
