In the study of periodic media, conditionally convergent series are frequently encountered and their regularization is crucial for applications. We derive an identity that regularizes two-dimensional generalized Eisenstein series for all Bravais lattices, yielding physically meaningful values. We also obtain explicit forms for the generalized series in terms of conventional Eisenstein series, enabling their closed-form evaluation for important high symmetry lattices. Results are then used to obtain representations for the related cylindrical harmonic sums, which are also given for all Bravais lattices. Finally, we treat displaced lattices of high symmetry, expressing them in terms of origin-centered lattices via geometric multi-set identities. These identities apply to all classes of two-dimensional sums, allowing sums to be evaluated over each constituent of a unit cell that possesses multiple inclusions.

We apply the Born-Jordan and Weyl quantization formulas for polynomials in canonical coordinates to the constants of motion of some examples of the superintegrable 2D anisotropic harmonic oscillator. Our aim is to study the behaviour of the algebra of the constants of motion after the different quantization procedures. In the examples considered, we have that the Weyl formula always preserves the original superintegrable structure of the system, while the Born-Jordan formula, when producing different operators than the Weyls one, does not.

We study a class of systems whose dynamics are described by generalized Langevin equations with state-dependent coefficients. We find that in the limit, in which all the characteristic time scales vanish at the same rate, the position variable of the system converges to a homogenized process, described by an equation containing additional drift terms induced by the noise. The convergence results are obtained using the main result in cite{hottovy2015smoluchowski}, whose version is proven here under a weaker spectral assumption on the damping matrix. We apply our results to study thermophoresis of a Brownian particle in a non-equilibrium heat bath.
We consider the matrix representation of the Eisenstein numbers and in this context we discuss the theory of the Pseudo Hyperbolic Functions. We develop a geometrical interpretation and show the usefulness of the method in Physical problems related to the anomalous scattering of light by crystals
(Draft 3) A generalized differential operator on the real line is defined by means of a limiting process. These generalized derivatives include, as a special case, the classical derivative and current studies of fractional differential operators. All such operators satisfy properties such as the sum, product/quotient rules, chain rule, etc. We study a Sturm-Liouville eigenvalue problem with generalized derivatives and show that the general case is actually a consequence of standard Sturm-Liouville Theory. As an application of the developments herein we find the general solution of a generalized harmonic oscillator. We also consider the classical problem of a planar motion under a central force and show that the general solution of this problem is still generically an ellipse, and that this result is true independently of the choice of the generalized derivatives being used modulo a time shift. The previous result on the generic nature of phase plane orbits is extended to the classical gravitational n-body problem of Newton to show that the global nature of these orbits is independent of the choice of the generalized derivatives being used in defining the force law (modulo a time shift). Finally, restricting the generalized derivatives to a special class of fractional derivatives, we consider the question of motion under gravity with and without resistance and arrive at a new notion of time that depends on the fractional parameter. The results herein are meant to clarify and extend many known results in the literature and intended to show the limitations and use of generalized derivatives and corresponding fractional derivatives.
The discrete cosine and sine transforms are generalized to a triangular fragment of the honeycomb lattice. The honeycomb point sets are constructed by subtracting the root lattice from the weight lattice points of the crystallographic root system $A_2$. The two-variable orbit functions of the Weyl group of $A_2$, discretized simultaneously on the weight and root lattices, induce a novel parametric family of extended Weyl orbit functions. The periodicity and von Neumann and Dirichlet boundary properties of the extended Weyl orbit functions are detailed. Three types of discrete complex Fourier-Weyl transforms and real-valued Hartley-Weyl transforms are described. Unitary transform matrices and interpolating behaviour of the discrete transforms are exemplified. Consequences of the developed discrete transforms for transversal eigenvibrations of the mechanical graphene model are discussed.
