This paper deals with studying the language of many female playwrights
through the dialogue of their female characters. The first play is "Night,
Mother", by Marsha Norman, the second play is "Gidion's Knot", by
Johnna Adams, and the third play is "August: Osage County", by Tracy
Letts.
