This study has aimed to analyze the experience of health insurance in the Syrian Arab Republic between 2010 and 2018 in order to know the extent of development in the health insurance sector during the study period. The study also has focused on thre
e basic indicators: the number of health insurers from 2010 to 2018, the distribution of health insurers in the government and private sector to health insurance expenses management companies, health insurance premiums. The researcher has studied and analyzed the basic health insurance indicators and showed their impact on the health development process in Syria. The study has achieved a set of results, the most important of which are: the poor level of insurance culture among the Syrian citizen, the impact of the war in Syria on the health insurance sector from the increase in the cost of providing health service to the insured for different types of service providers.
يعرف التأمين بحسب المادة 713 من القانون المدني على أنه عقد يلتزم المؤمن بمقتضاه أن يؤديإلى المؤمن له أوالمستفيد الذي اشترط التأمين لصالحه مبلغا من المال أو غيرادا مرتبا أو أي عوض مالي آخر في حال وقوع الحادث أو تحقيق الخطر المبين بالعقد.
This study discusses The quality of insurance service in the Syrian Insurance sector
from the viewpoint of the insured. The aim is to determine the standards used to measure
the quality of insurance service. It determines the presence level of thes
e standards in the
offered services. It also compares the quality of service in the public and private sectors.
This study concludes the dependence on six standards for the quality of insurance
service It clarifies that all these standards exist in a level exceeds the average slightly, but
the private sector surpasses the public sector concerning the third and sixth standards and
the level of quality.
This study recommends the necessity of improving the level of the quality of service
and responses to the insurance needs which are related to the six proposed standards.
This study also recommends the necessity of applying its method to do regular tests
on the quality of the insurance service in order to determine the positive and negative
points so that the positive points can be established and the negative points can be avoided.
This contributes to the improvement of the quality of insurance services in the Syrian
Insurance sector.
