Determination microbial activity of organisms in some concentrates of apple juice that produced in Syria during storage periods

Twenty kg of apple juice concentrate (70%) were tooked from company of Natural Aljabal Juice from AL-suidaa Governorate and prarerd two concentarate (15 and 35%) by using distilled –sterlization water . these samples stoered at (4-20-30-40)ºc for 3 months, chemical and microbial tests were assayed in the every month average triple to every concentrate and all different temperatures and recored the average, The chemical analysis results show: The acidity relaise in all samples that storage at 20 ºc beacause it is agreeable for oraganisms to grow.

A study of possibility of manufacturing Nano webs of mixtures of poly vinyl alcohol with silver nitrate by electro spinning process

In this study we used electro spinning technology to obtain nonwoven webs of Nano fibers of poly vinyl alcohol and Nano particles of silver . we dissolve the polymer poly vinyl alcohol in it's solvent (water) to form a polymeric solution that we charged it by positive charge and ejected it to leaving it on a collector that we charged it by negative charge and used a high voltage. and we mixed the polymer poly vinyl alcohol with silver nitrate with different concentrations and electro spinning the mixture to obtain Nano fibers and Nano particles of silver then we applied heat treatment for the whole samples at 155°c for 5 minutes for tow aims the first one is to make crosslinking between series of PVA and the second is for the stability of silver nanoparticles , finally we analyze samples on Scanning Electron Microscopy SEM .

The Quantitative Determination of Caffeine in Energy Drinks in the Syrian Market and the Detection of Alcohol in them

The aim of this study is to determine the concentration of caffeine in energy drinks available in Syrian market to ensure whether the caffeine concentration in them follow the FDA recommendation or not , and detection the presence of alcohols . Three types of energy drinks available in Syria are studied in this experiment. Caffeine content is analyzed and quantified by UV spectroscopy. Specific tests for alcohol hydroxyl are used to detect its presence and determine the alcohols type. This study has shown the existence of variable quantities of caffeine; however the highest percentage is existed in Marinas Turbo 51.81 micro gram/100 ml and the lowest percentage is existed in XXX L Flash Red 1.89 micro gram/100 ml. Research has shown that energy drinks have negative effects on their users , especially the youth.A survey is done on a sample of 130 people in Alqadmous – Tartous. No alcohol is found in XXX L Flash Red and Power Horse, but it was found in Marinas Turbo.
