يهدف هذا البحث إلى تسليط الضوء على مفهوم إنترنت الأشياء أو ما يعرف ب IoT تناولنا في بحثنا مقدمة عامة عن إنترت الأشياء, ثم انتقلنا إلى مكونات IoT بما فيها الأجهزة/الحساسات أساليب الربط بينها وبين التطبيق السحابي, البرمجيات المستخدمة لمعالجة البيانات و
وواجهات المستخدمين للتفاعل معها, ثم انتقلنا إلى الحديث عن مفهوم IoT Platforms وذكرنا منصتين شهيرتين هما Carriots, ThingWorx مع ذكر الخدمات التي تقدمها المنصتان, في القسم التالي ذكرنا العلاقة الوطيدة بين IoT وبين التطبيقات السحابية, وكيف ساعدت السحابة على انتشار المنصات بسهولة, تاليا ذكرنا مجموعة من تطبيقات IoT وتوسعنا بشرح التطبيات الطبية منها, وختاما تكلمنا عن إنترت الأشياء في عالمنا العربي.
