We compute the cosmic relic (dark matter) density of the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) in the framework of minimal $N=1$ Supergravity models with radiative breaking of the electroweak gauge symmetry. To this end, we re--calculate the cross sections for all possible annihilation processes for a general, mixed neutralino state with arbitrary mass. Our analysis includes effects of all Yukawa couplings of third generation fermions, and allows for a fairly general set of soft SUSY breaking parameters at the Planck scale. We find that a cosmologically interesting relic density emerges naturally over wide regions of parameter space. However, the requirement that relic neutralinos do not overclose the universe does not lead to upper bounds on SUSY breaking parameters that are strictly valid for all combinations of parameters and of interest for existing or planned collider experiments; in particular, gluino and squark masses in excess of 5 TeV cannot strictly be excluded. On the other hand, in the ``generic case of a gaugino--like neutralino whose annihilation cross sections are not ``accidentally enhanced by a nearby Higgs or $Z$ pole, all sparticles should lie within the reach of the proposed $pp$ and $e^+e^-$ supercolliders. We also find that requiring the LSP to provide all dark matter predicted by inflationary models imposes a strict lower bound of 40 GeV on the common scalar mass $m$ at the Planck scale, while the lightest sleptons would have to be heavier

We have calculated the full O(alpha_s) supersymmetric QCD corrections to neutralino-stop co-annihilation into electroweak vector and Higgs bosons within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). We performed a parameter study within the pheno menological MSSM and demonstrated that the studied co-annihilation processes are phenomenologically relevant, especially in the context of a 126 GeV Higgs-like particle. By means of an example scenario we discuss the effect of the full next-to-leading order corrections on the co-annihilation cross section and show their impact on the predicted neutralino relic density. We demonstrate that the impact of these corrections on the cosmologically preferred region of parameter space is larger than the current experimental uncertainty of WMAP data.

The lightest neutralino is a compelling candidate to account for cold dark matter in the universe in supersymmetric theories with $R$--parity. In the CP-invariant theory, the neutralino relic density can be found in accord with recent WMAP data if ne utralino annihilation in the early universe occurs via the s-channel $A$ funnel. In contrast, in the CP-noninvariant theory two heavy neutral Higgs bosons can contribute to the Higgs funnel mechanism significantly due to a CP-violating {it complex} mixing between two heavy states, in particular, when they are almost degenerate. With a simple analytic and numerical analysis, we demonstrate that the CP-violating Higgs mixing can modify the profile of the neutralino relic density {it considerably} in the heavy Higgs funnel with the neutralino mass close to half of the heavy Higgs masses.

The direct detection of neutralino dark matter is analysed in general supergravity scenarios, where non-universal soft scalar and gaugino masses can be present. In particular, the theoretical predictions for the neutralino-nucleon cross section are s tudied and compared with the sensitivity of dark matter detectors. We take into account the most recent astrophysical and experimental constraints on the parameter space, including the current limit on B(Bs-> mu+ mu-). The latter puts severe limitations on the dark matter scattering cross section, ruling out most of the regions that would be within the reach of present experiments. We show how this constraint can be softened with the help of appropriate choices of non-universal parameters which increase the Higgsino composition of the lightest neutralino and minimise the chargino contribution to the b->s transition.

We review the question of quantum consistency of N=4 conformal supergravity in 4 dimensions. The UV divergences and anomalies of the standard (minimal) conformal supergravity where the complex scalar $phi$ is not coupled to the Weyl graviton kinetic term can be cancelled by coupling this theory to N=4 super Yang-Mills with gauge group of dimension 4. The same turns out to be true also for the non-minimal N=4 conformal supergravity with the action (recently constructed in arXiv:1609.09083) depending on an arbitrary holomorphic function $f(phi)$. The special case of the non-minimal conformal supergravity with $f= e^{2phi}$ appears in the twistor-string theory. We show that divergences and anomalies do not depend on the form of the function $f$ and thus can be cancelled just as in the minimal $f=1$ case by coupling the theory to four N=4 vector multiplets.
In this paper, we perform a full next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD calculation of neutralino scattering on protons or neutrons in the MSSM. We match the results of the NLO QCD calculation to the scalar and axial-vector operators in the effective field theory approach. These govern the spin-independent and spin-dependent detection rates, respectively. The calculations have been performed for general bino, wino and higgsino decompositions of neutralino dark matter and required a novel tensor reduction method of loop integrals with vanishing relative velocities and Gram determinants. Numerically, the NLO QCD effects are shown to be of at least of similar size and sometimes larger than the currently estimated nuclear uncertainties. We also demonstrate the interplay of the direct detection rate with the relic density when consistently analyzed with the program $mathtt{DM@NLO}$.
