In this work, we calculate the form factors for $J/psito bar{D}^{(*)0}$ induced by the flavor changing neutral currents (FCNC) in terms of the QCD sum rules. Making use of these form factors, we further calculate the branching fractions of semileptonic decays $J/psi to bar{D}^{(*)0} l ^+ l^-$ ($l=e, mu$). In particular, we formulate the matrix element $<J/psi|T_{mu u}| bar{D}^{*0}>$ with $T_{mu u}$ being a tensor current, which was not fully discussed in previous literature. Our analysis indicates that if only the standard model (SM) applies, the production of single charmed mesons at the present electron-positron colliders is too small to be observed even the resonance effects are included, therefore if an anomalous production rates are observed, it would be a hint of new physics beyond SM. Even though the predicted branching ratios are beyond the reach of present facilities which can be seen from a rough order estimate, the more accurate formulation of the three point correlation function derived in this work has theoretical significance and the technique can also be applied to other places. In analog to some complicated theoretical derivations which do not have immediate phenomenological application yet, if the future experiments can provide sufficient luminosity and accuracy, the results would be helpful.

Inclusive semileptonic decays of beauty baryons are studied using the heavy quark expansion to ${cal O}(1/m_b^3)$, at leading order in $alpha_s$. The case of a polarized decaying baryon is examined, with reference to $Lambda_b$. An extension of the S tandard Model effective Hamiltonian inducing $b to U ell {bar u}_ ell$ transitions ($U=u,,c$ and $ell=e,,mu,,tau$) is considered, which comprises the full set of D=6 semileptonic operators with left-handed neutrinos. The effects of the new operators in several observables are described.
The Higgs boson decay into a pair of real or virtual W bosons, with one of them decaying leptonically, is predicted within the Standard Model to have the largest branching fraction of all Higgs decays that involve an isolated electron or muon, for M_ h > 120 GeV. We compute analytically the fully-differential width for this h -> l u jj decay at tree level, and then explore some multi-dimensional cuts that preserve the region of large signal. Future searches for semileptonic decays at the Tevatron and LHC, employing fully-differential information as outlined here, may be essential for ruling out or in the Higgs boson and for characterizing a Higgs signal.
We present a global analysis of leptonic and semileptonic kaon decays data, including all recent results by BNL-E865, KLOE, KTeV, ISTRA+, and NA48. Experimental results are critically reviewed and combined, taking into account theoretical (both analy tical and numerical) constraints on the semileptonic kaon form factors. This analysis leads to a very accurate determination of Vus and allows us to perform several stringent tests of the Standard Model.
We evaluate the form factors describing the semileptonic decays $bar{B^0}to J/psi (eta_c) D^+ ell^- bar u_ell$, within the framework of a QCD relativistic potential model. This decay is complementary to $bar{B^0}to J/psi (eta_c) D^+ pi^-$ in a phase space region where a pion factors out.We estimate the branching ratio for these semileptonic and nonleptonic channels, finding $mathcal{BR}(bar{B^0} to J/psi (eta_c) D^+ ell u_ell) simeq 10^{-13}$, $mathcal{BR}(bar{B^0} to J/psi D^+ pi^-) = 3.1 times 10^{-8}$ and $mathcal{BR}(bar{B^0} to eta_c D^+ pi^-) = 3.5 times 10^{-8}$.
We calculate the form factors for the semileptonic decays $B_sto Kell u$ and $Bto Kellell$ with lattice QCD. We work at several lattice spacings and a range of light quark masses, using the MILC 2+1-flavor asqtad ensembles. We use the Fermilab method for the $b$ quark. We obtain chiral-continuum extrapolations for $E_K$ up to $sim1.2$ GeV and then extend to the entire kinematic range with the model-independent $z$ expansion.
