In a simulation of SU(2) gauge theory we investigate, after maximal Abelian projection, the dual Maxwell equations for colour field and monopole current distributions around a static quark-antiquark pair Q_ Q in vacuo. Within the dual superconductor picture we carry out a Ginzburg-Landau type analysis of the flux tube profile. As a result we can determine the coherence length of the GL wave function related to the monopole condensate, xi = .25(3) fm, to be compared to the penetration length, lambda = >.15(2) fm (scaled with the string tension).
We perform $SU(2)$ Yang-Mills lattice simulation of the electric field distribution in the Coulomb gauge for different values of $beta$ to further investigate the nature of the Coulomb flux tube.
It is believed that the two-dimensional massless $mathcal{N}=2$ Wess--Zumino model becomes the $mathcal{N}=2$ superconformal field theory (SCFT) in the infrared (IR) limit. We examine this theoretical conjecture of the Landau--Ginzburg (LG) descripti
We study the critical behaviour of the three-dimensional U(1) gauge+Higgs theory (Ginzburg-Landau model) at large scalar self-coupling lambda (``type II region) by measuring various correlation lengths as well as the Abrikosov-Nielsen-Olesen vortex t
The color flux tube connecting a static quark-anti-quark pair in Yang-Mills theory supports massless transverse fluctuations, which are the Goldstone bosons of spontaneously broken translation invariance. Just as in chiral perturbation theory, the dy
We study the phase transition of the three-dimensional complex |psi|^4 theory by considering the geometrically defined vortex-loop network as well as the magnetic properties of the system in the vicinity of the critical point. Using high-precision Mo
