We report the enhancement of Neel temperature of Cr2O3 by replacing 50% of Cr by Fe prepared by sol-gel method. The structural analysis by neutron diffraction has revealed that FeCrO3 belongs to a corundum structure (R-3c space group) with an antiferromagnetic spin structure having collinear spins along a-axis with propagation vector k=0; the high-temperature magnetisation study indicated a Neel temperature of 560 K. The enhancement in Neel temperature has been attributed to the strong orbital hybridization that leads to change in nearest neighbor bond angle and bond distances. Impedance spectroscopy has revealed conduction mechanism at low temperature is due to the polaron hopping while extrinsic contributions from the Maxwell-Wagner dominant at high temperatures
Dielectric and magnetic properties of Eu0.5Ba0.25Sr0.25TiO3 are investigated between 10 K and 300 K in the frequency range from 10 Hz to 100 THz. A peak in permittivity revealed near 130 K and observed ferroelectric hysteresis loops prove the ferroel
Metastable manganite perovskites displaying the antiferromagnetic so-called E-phase are predicted to be multiferroic. Due to the need of high-pressures for the synthesis of this phase, this prediction has only been confirmed in bulk HoMnO3. Here we r
Recently, MnBi2Te4 has been discovered as the first intrinsic antiferromagnetic topological insulator (AFM TI), and will become a promising material to discover exotic topological quantum phenomena. In this work, we have realized the successful synth
The present work reports synthesis, as well as a detailed and careful characterization of structural, magnetic, and dielectric properties of differently tempered undoped and doped CaCu3Ti4O12 (CCTO) ceramics. For this purpose, neutron and x-ray powde
We report the evolution of structural, magnetic and dielectric properties due to partial substitution of Ba by Sr in the high temperature multiferroic YBaCuFeO5. This compound exhibits ferroelectric and antiferromagnetic transitions around 200 K and
