In this paper we demonstrate that there are large classes of Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) cosmologies that admit isotropic conformal structures of Quiescent Cosmology. FRW models have long been known to admit singularities such as Big Bangs and Big Crunches [1, 2] but recently it has been shown that there are other cosmological structures that these solutions contain. These structures are Big Rips, Sudden Singularities and Extremality Events [1, 2]. Within the Quiescent Cosmology framework [3] there also exist structures consistent with a cosmological singularity known as the Isotropic Past Singularity (IPS) [4, 5]. There also exists a cosmological final state known as a Future Isotropic Universe (FIU) [4], which strictly speaking, doesnt fit with the fundamental ideals of Quiescent Cosmology. In this paper, we compare the cosmological events of a large class of FRW solutions to the conformal structures of Quiescent Cosmology [4]. In the first section of this paper we present the relevant background information and our motivation. In the second section of this paper we construct conformal relationships for relevant FRW models. The third section contains a thorough discussion of a class of FRW solutions that cannot represent any of the previously constructed isotropic conformal structures from Quiescent Cosmology. The final section contains our remarks and future outlook for further study of this field.

In this methodological note we discuss several topics related to interpretation of some basic cosmological principles. We demonstrate that one of the key points is the usage of synchronous reference frames. The Friedmann-Robertson-Walker one is the m ost known example of them. We describe how different quantities behave in this frame. Special attention is paid to potentially observable parameters. We discuss different variants for choosing measures of velocity and acceleration representing the Hubble flow, and present illustrative calculations of apparent acceleration in flat $Lambda CDM$ model for various epochs. We generalize description of the tethered galaxies problem for different velocity measures and equations of state, and illustrate time behavior of velocities and redshifts in the $Lambda CDM$ model.

The results on chaos in FRW cosmology with a massive scalar field are extended to another scalar field potential. It is shown that for sufficiently steep potentials the chaos disappears. A simple and rather accurate analytical criterion for the chaos to disappear is given. On the contrary, for gently sloping potentials the transition to a strong chaotic regime can occur. Two examples, concerning asymptotically flat and Damour-Mukhanov potentials are given.
We consider a class of inhomogeneous self-similar cosmological models in which the perfect fluid flow is tangential to the orbits of a three-parameter similarity group. We restrict the similarity group to possess both an Abelian $G_{2}$, and a single hypersurface orthogonal Killing vector field, and we restrict the fluid flow to be orthogonal to the orbits of the Abelian $G_{2}$. The temporal evolution of the models is forced to be power law, due to the similarity group, and the Einstein field equations reduce to a three-dimensional autonomous system of ordinary differential equations which is qualitatively analysed in order to determine the spatial structure of the models. The existence of two classes of well-behaved models is demonstrated. The first of these is asymptotically spatially homogeneous and matter dominated, and the second is vacuum dominated and either asymptotically spatially homogeneous or acceleration dominated, at large spatial distances.
We examine the class of initial conditions which give rise to inflation. Our analysis is carried out for several popular models including: Higgs inflation, Starobinsky inflation, chaotic inflation, axion monodromy inflation and non-canonical inflatio n. In each case we determine the set of initial conditions which give rise to sufficient inflation, with at least $60$ e-foldings. A phase-space analysis has been performed for each of these models and the effect of the initial inflationary energy scale on inflation has been studied numerically. This paper discusses two scenarios of Higgs inflation: (i) the Higgs is coupled to the scalar curvature, (ii) the Higgs Lagrangian contains a non-canonical kinetic term. In both cases we find Higgs inflation to be very robust since it can arise for a large class of initial conditions. One of the central results of our analysis is that, for plateau-like potentials associated with the Higgs and Starobinsky models, inflation can be realised even for initial scalar field values which lie close to the minimum of the potential. This dispels a misconception relating to plateau potentials prevailing in the literature. We also find that inflation in all models is more robust for larger values of the initial energy scale.
In this article, we summarize two agnostic approaches in the framework of spatially curved Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) cosmologies discussed in detail in (Kerachian et al., 2020, 2019). The first case concerns the dynamics of a fluid with an uns pecified barotropic equation of state (EoS), for which the only assumption made is the non-negativity of the fluids energy density. The second case concerns the dynamics of a non-minimally coupled real scalar field with unspecified positive potential. For each of these models, we define a new set of dimensionless variables and a new evolution parameter. In the framework of these agnostic setups, we are able to identify several general features, like symmetries, invariant subsets and critical points, and provide their cosmological interpretation.
