The upper critical fields, Hc2 of single crystals of Sr1-xEux(Fe0.89Co0.11)2As2(x=0.203 and 0.463) were determined by radio frequency penetration depth measurements in pulsed magnetic fields. Hc2 approaches the Pauli limiting field but shows an upward curvature with an enhancement from the orbital limited field as inferred from Werthamer-Helfand-Hohenberg theory. We discuss the temperature dependence of the upper critical fields and the decreasing anisotropy using a two-band BCS model.

We present experimental results of the upper critical fields $H_{rm c2}$ of various MgB$_2$ thin films prepared by the molecular beam epitaxy, multiple-targets sputtering, and co-evaporation deposition apparatus. Experimental data of the $H_{rm c2}(T )$ are successfully analyzed by applying the Gurevich theory of dirty two-band superconductivity in the case of $D_{pi}/D_{sigma}>1$, where $D_{pi}$ and $D_{sigma}$ are the intraband electron diffusivities for $pi$ and $sigma$ bands, respectively. We find that the parameters obtained from the analysis are strongly correlated to the superconducting transition temperature $T_{rm c}$ of the films. We also discuss the anormalous narrowing of the transition width at intermediate temperatures confirmed by the magnetoresistance measurements.
High-quality superconducting LaFeAsO$_{1-x}$F$_{x}$ thin films were grown on single crystalline LaAlO$_{3}$ substrates with critical temperatures (onset) up to 28 K. Resistive measurements in high magnetic fields up to 40 T reveal a paramagnetically limited upper critical field, $mu_{0}H_{c2}$(0) around 77 T and a remarkable steep slope of -7.5 T/K near $T_{c}$. From transport measurements we observed a weak link behavior in low magnetic fields and the evidence for a broad reversible regime.
Superconductivity of Ca1-xLaxFe2As2 single crystals with various doping level were investigated via electromagnetic measurements for out-plane (H//c) and in-plane (H//ab) directions. Obvious double superconducting transitions, which can survive in ma gnetic fields up to several Tesla, were observed in the medium-doped (x = 0.13) sample. Two kinds of distinct Hc2 phase diagrams were established for the low superconducting phase with Tc lower than 15 K and the high superconducting phase with Tc of over 40 K, respectively. Both the two kinds of phase diagrams exist in the medium-doped sample. Unusual upward curvature near Tc was observed in Hc2 phase diagrams and analyzed in detail. Temperature dependences of anisotropy for different doping concentrations were obtained and compared. Both superconducting phases manifest extremely large anisotropies, which may originate from the interface or intercalation superconductivity.
The transport properties, upper critical fields, superconducting anisotropy, and critical current density in an iso-valent phosphorus-doped BaFe2As2 single crystal close to optimum doping are investigated in this report. Temperature dependent resisti vity and susceptibility show a superconducting transition temperature, Tc, just below 31 K both with sharp transitions. The upper critical field parallel to the ab-plane, Hc2^ab, is above 77 Tesla while that along the c-axis direction, Hc2^c, is just above 36 Tesla, yielding a low superconducting anisotropy ratio ~ 2. The estimated inter-plane coherence length based on the Ginzburg-Landau (G-L) theory indicates BaFe2(As0.68P0.32)2 is still above the point for a dimensional crossover inferring the superconducting layers are not weakly-coupled in this system. The critical current density at 5 K obtained from magnetization loops measurement show a modest Jc as high as 10^5 A/cm2.
We report synthesis, structural details and complete superconducting characterization of very recently discovered Nb2PdS5 new superconductor. The synthesized compound is crystallized in mono-clinic structure. Bulk superconductivity is seen in both ma gnetic susceptibility and electrical resistivity measurements with superconducting transition temperature (Tc) at 6K. The upper critical field (Hc2), being estimated from high field magneto-transport measure-ments is above 240kOe. The estimated Hc2(0) is clearly above the Pauli paramagnetic limit. Heat capacity measurements show clear transition with well defined peak at Tc, but with lower jump than as expected for a BCS type superconductor. The Sommerfield constant and Debye temperature as determined from low temperature fitting of heat capacity data are 32mJ/moleK2 and 263K respectively. Hall coefficients and resistivity in conjugation with electronic heat capacity indicates multiple gap superconductivity signatures in Nb2PdS5. We also studied the impact of hydrostatic pressure on superconductivity of Nb2PdS5 and found nearly no change in Tc for the given pressure range.
