The spreading layer (SL) on neutron star surface of GX 9+9 during the upper banana state was studied using INTEGRAL and RXTE observations. The SL-area becomes larger with increasing accretion rate while the SL-temperature remains close to the critical Eddington value, confirming predictions by Inogamov and Sunyaev (1999) and Suleimanov and Poutanen (2006). However, at low accretion rate the observed temperature is higher and SL-belt shallower than those predicted, requiring confirmation and theoretical explananation.
The F0 V star 9 Aur A exhibits an irregular variability of amplitude $approx $0.1 magnitude at optical wavelengths. The variations are too slow for it to be a $delta$ Scuti-type star. There is no evidence for a close, interacting companion or ring of
The study of inelastic scattering and multi-nucleon transfer reactions was performed by bombarding a $^{9}$Be target with a $^3$He beam at an incident energy of 30 MeV. Angular distributions for $^9$Be($^3$He,$^3$He)$^{9}$Be, $^9$Be($^3$He,$^4$He)$^{
We have determined an improved position for the luminous persistent neutron-star low-mass X-ray binary and atoll source GX 9+1 from archival Chandra X-ray Observatory data. The new position significantly differs from a previously published Chandra po
The dissociation features in nuclear track emulsion of $^9$Be, $^{9,10}$C, and $^{12}$N nuclei of 1.2 A GeV energy are presented. The data presented for the nucleus $^9$Be can be considered as evidence that there is a core in its structure in the for
The behaviour of the pulsar spectrum at high radio frequencies can provide decisive information about the nature of the radio emission mechanism. We report recent observations of a selected sample of pulsars at lambda=9mm (32 GHz) with the 100-m Effe
