We consider classes of T_6 orientifolds, where the orientifold projection contains an inversion I_{9-p} on 9-p coordinates, transverse to a Dp-brane. In absence of fluxes, the massless sector of these models corresponds to diverse forms of N=4 supergravity, with six bulk vector multiplets coupled to N=4 Yang--Mills theory on the branes. They all differ in the choice of the duality symmetry corresponding to different embeddings of SU(1,1)times SO(6,6+n) in Sp(24+2n,R), the latter being the full group of duality rotations. Hence, these Lagrangians are not related by local field redefinitions. When fluxes are turned on one can construct new gaugings of N=4 supergravity, where the twelve bulk vectors gauge some nilpotent algebra which, in turn, depends on the choice of fluxes.

All N=4 conformal supergravities in four space-time dimensions are constructed. These are the only N=4 supergravity theories whose actions are invariant under off-shell supersymmetry. They are encoded in terms of a holomorphic function that is homoge neous of zeroth degree in scalar fields that parametrize an SU(1,1)/U(1) coset space. When this function equals a constant the Lagrangian is invariant under continuous SU(1,1) transformations. The construction of these higher-derivative invariants also opens the door to various applications for non-conformal theories.

We investigate to derive off-shell invariant twisted super Yang-Mills for N=2 in 2-dimensions and N=4 in 4-dimensions with a central charge by super connection ansatz formalism. We find off-shell invariant N=2 algebra with and without an extra constr aint in 2-dimensions. On the other hand in 4-dimensions we find off-shell invariant N=4 twisted SUSY algebra including one central charge always with a constraint.
We study dimensional reductions of M-theory/type II strings down to 6D in the presence of fluxes and spacetime filling branes and orientifold planes of different types. We classify all inequivalent orientifold projections giving rise to $mathcal{N}=( 1,1)$ supergravities in 6D and work out the embedding tensor/fluxes dictionary for each of those. Finally we analyze the set of vacua for the different classes of reductions and find an abundance of no-scale type Minkowski vacua, as well as a few novel examples of (A)dS extrema.
We construct supersymmetric black holes with rotation or NUT charge for the $overline{mathbb{C}text{P}}^n$- and the $text{t}^3$ model of $N=2$, $D=4$ $text{U}(1)$ FI-gauged supergravity. The solutions preserve 2 real supercharges, which are doubled f or their near-horizon geometry. For the $overline{mathbb{C}text{P}}^n$ model we also present a generalization to the nonextremal case, which turns out to be characterized by a Carter-Plebanski-type metric, and has $n+3$ independent parameters, corresponding to mass, angular momentum as well as $n+1$ magnetic charges. We discuss the thermodynamics of these solutions, obtain a Christodoulou-Ruffini mass formula, and shew that they obey a first law of thermodynamics and that the product of horizon areas depends on the angular momentum and the magnetic charges only. At least some of the BPS black holes that we obtain may become instrumental for future microscopic entropy computations involving a supersymmetric index.
We formulate a unimodular N=1, d=4 supergravity theory off shell. We see that the infinitesimal Grassmann parameters defining the unimodular supergravity transformations are constrained and show that the conmutator of two infinitesinal unimodular sup ergravity transformations closes on transverse diffeomorphisms, Lorentz transformations and unimodular supergravity transformations. Along the way, we also show that the linearized theory is a supersymmetric theory of gravitons and gravitinos. We see that de Sitter and anti-de Sitter spacetimes are non-supersymmetric vacua of our unimodular supergravity theory.
