In strong-coupling superconductors with a short electron mean free path the self-energy effects in the superconducting order parameter play a major role in the phonon manifestation of the point-contact spectra at above-gap energies. We compare the expressions for the nonlinear conductivity of tunnel, ballistic, and diffusive point-contacts and show that these expression are similar and correspond to the measurements of the phonon structure in the point-contact spectra for the $pi$-band of MgB$_{2}$.

In strong-coupling superconductors with a short electron mean free path the self-energy effects in the superconducting order parameter play a major role in the phonon manifestation of the point-contact spectra at the above-gap energies. We derive asy mptotic expressions of the phonon structure in MgB$%_{2}$ in the case $eVggDelta $ for tunnel, ballistic, and diffusive point-contacts and show that these expressions not only qualitatively, but also semi-quantitatively correspond to the measurements of the phonon structure in the point-contact spectra for the $pi$-band of MgB$_{2}$ c-axis oriented thin films.
The search of the phonon structure at the above-gap energies was carried out for $d^{2}V/dI^{2}(V)$ spectra of MgB$_{2}$ point contacts with a normal metal. The two-band model is assumed not only for the gap structure in $dV/dI(V)$-characteristics, b ut also for phonons in $d^{2}V/dI^{2}(V)$ point-contact spectra, with up to the maximum lattice vibration energy. Since the current is carried mostly by charges of 3D-band, whereas the strong electron-phonon interaction occurs in 2D-band, we observe the phonon peculiarities due to proximity effect in {it k}-space, which depends on the variation of interband coupling through the elastic scattering.
The electronic structure, optical and x-ray absorption spectra, angle dependence of the cyclotron masses and extremal cross sections of the Fermi surface, phonon spectra, electron-phonon Eliashberg and transport spectral functions, temperature depend ence of electrical resistivity of the MB2 (M=Ti and Zr) diborides were investigated from first principles using the full potential linear muffin-tin orbital method. The calculations of the dynamic matrix were carried out within the framework of the linear response theory. A good agreement with experimental data of optical and x-ray absorption spectra, phonon spectra, electron-phonon spectral functions, electrical resistivity, cyclotron masses and extremal cross sections of the Fermi surface was achieved.
We have performed a detailed study of the conductance characteristics obtained by point contact junctions realized between a normal Pt/Ir tip and syntered RuSr2GdCu2O8 (Ru-1212) samples. Indeed, this compound is subject of great interest due to the c oexistence of both magnetic order and bulk superconductivity. In our experiments, the low temperature tunneling spectra reproducibly show a zero bias conductance peak that can be well reproduced by a generalized BTK model in the case of d-wave symmetry of the superconducting order parameter.
Superconducting thin films of magnesium diboride (MgB$_2$) were prepared on MgO (001) substrate by a molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) method with the co-evaporation conditions of low deposition rate in ultra-high vacuum. The structural and physical prope rties of the films were studied by RHEED, XRD, XPS, resistivity and magnetization measurements. All films demonstrated superconductivity without use of any post-annealing process. The highest {it T}$_{c,onset}$ determined by resistivity measurement was about 33K in the present samples.Anisotropic superconducting properties were evaluated by the resistivity and magnetic measurements. We will discuss the anisotropy of superconductivity for as-grown MgB$_2$ thin films.
