We present ELODIE.3.1, an updated release of the library published in Prugniel & Soubiran (2001, 2004). The library includes 1962 spectra of 1388 stars obtained with the ELODIE spectrograph at the Observatoire de Haute-Provence 193cm telescope in the wavelength range 390 to 680 nm. It provides a wide coverage of atmospheric parameters : T_eff from 3100 K to 50000 K, log g from -0.25 to 4.9 and [Fe/H] from -3 to +1. The library is given at two resolutions: R~42000, with the flux normalized to the pseudo-continuum, FWHM=0.55AA (R~10000) calibrated in physical flux (reduced above earth atmosphere) with a broad-band photometric precision of 2.5% and narrow-band precision of 0.5%. In this new release the data-reduction (flux calibration, reconnection of the echelle orders) has been improved, and in particular the blue region, between 390 and 400 nm has been added. The FITS files for each spectra, and the measured atmospheric parameters are publicly available. See the ELODIE.3.1 page for more details: http://www.obs.u-bordeaux1.fr/m2a/soubiran/elodie_library.html

We present ELODIE.3, an updated release of the ELODIE library originally published in Prugniel & Soubiran (2001). It is part of the spectrophotometric resources available in the HyperLeda database where the spectra can be visualized or downloaded in FITS format. The ELODIE library includes 1962 spectra of 1388 stars obtained with the ELODIE spectrograph at the Observatoire de Haute-Provence 193cm telescope in the wavelength range 400 to 680 nm. It provides a large coverage of atmospheric parameters : Teff from 3000 K to 60000 K, log g from -0.3 to 5.9 and [Fe/H] from -3.2 to +1.4. The library is given at two resolutions: R=42000, with the flux normalized to the pseudo-continuum, R=10000 calibrated in physical flux (reduced above earth atmosphere) with a broad-band photometric precision of 2.5% and narrow-band precision of 0.5%. A grid of interpolated spectra is also given, which has been used for synthesis of stellar population with PEGASE-HR (Le Borgne et al. 2004). Compared to the previous version we have doubled the size of the library, corrected some identification errors, improved the external stellar parameters and the reduction procedure. A detailed description is available at the ELODIE.3 website : http://www.obs.u-bordeaux1.fr/m2a/soubiran/elodie_library.html
Several solar analogs have been identified in the library of high resolution stellar spectra taken with the echelle spectrograph ELODIE. A purely differential method has been used, based on the chi2 comparison of a large number of G dwarf spectra to 8 spectra of the Sun, taken on the Moon and Ceres. HD 146233 keeps its status of closest ever solar twin (Porto de Mello & da Silva 1997). Some other spectroscopic analogs have never been studied before, while the two planet-host stars HD095128 and HD186427 are also part of the selection. The fundamental parameters found in the literature for these stars show a surprising dispersion, partly due to the uncertainties which affect them. We discuss the advantages and drawbacks of photometric and spectroscopic methods to search for solar analogs and conclude that they have to be used jointly to find real solar twins.
As a mixed result of intensive dependency on third-party libraries, flexible mechanism to declare dependencies, and increased number of modules in a project, multip
We report the stellar atmospheric parameters for 7503 spectra contained in the first release of the MaNGA stellar library (MaStar) in SDSS DR15. The first release of MaStar contains 8646 spectra measured from 3321 unique stars, each covering the wave length range 3622 AA to 10354 AA with a resolving power of $R sim$ 1800. In this work, we first determined the basic stellar parameters: effective temperature ($rm T_{eff}$), surface gravity ($log g$), and metallicity ($rm[Fe/H]$), which best fit the data using an empirical interpolator based on the Medium-resolution Isaac Newton Telescope library of empirical spectra (MILES), as implemented by the University of Lyon Spectroscopic analysis Software (Koleva et al. 2008, ULySS) package. While we analyzed all 8646 spectra from the first release of MaStar, since MaStar has a wider parameter-space coverage than MILES, not all of these fits are robust. In addition, not all parameter regions covered by MILES yield robust results, likely due to the non-uniform coverage of the parameter space by MILES. We tested the robustness of the method using the MILES spectra itself and identified a proxy based on the local density of the training set. With this proxy, we identified 7503 MaStar spectra with robust fitting results. They cover the range from 3179K to 20,517K in effective temperature ($rm T_{eff}$), from 0.40 to 5.0 in surface gravity ($log g$), and from $-$2.49 to $+$0.73 in metallicity ($rm[Fe/H]$).
MEGARA is an optical integral field and multiobject fibre based spectrograph for the 10.4m Gran Telescopio CANARIAS that offers medium to high spectral resolutions (FWHM) of R $simeq$ 6000, 12000, 20000. Commissioned at the telescope in 2017, it star ted operation as a common-user instrument in 2018. We are creating an instrument-oriented empirical spectral library from MEGARA-GTC stars observations, MEGASTAR, crucial for the correct interpretation of MEGARA data. This piece of work describes the content of the first release of MEGASTAR, formed by the spectra of 414 stars observed with R $simeq$ 20000 in the spectral intervals from 6420 to 6790 $r{A}$ and from 8370 to 8885 $r{A}$, and obtained with a continuum average signal to noise ratio around 260. We describe the release sample, the observations, the data reduction procedure and the MEGASTAR database. Additionally, we include in Appendix A, an atlas with the complete set of 838 spectra of this first release of the MEGASTAR catalogue.
