By analytic perturbations, we refer to shifts that are finite rank perturbations of the form $M_z + F$, where $M_z$ is the unilateral shift and $F$ is a finite rank operator on the Hardy space over the open unit disc. Here shift refers to the multiplication operator $M_z$ on some analytic reproducing kernel Hilbert space. In this paper, we first isolate a natural class of finite rank operators for which the corresponding perturbations are analytic, and then we present a complete classification of invariant subspaces of those analytic perturbations. We also exhibit some instructive examples and point out several distinctive properties (like cyclicity, essential normality, hyponormality, etc.) of analytic perturbations.

This paper is devoted to the study of reducing subspaces for multiplication operator $M_phi$ on the Dirichlet space with symbol of finite Blaschke product. The reducing subspaces of $M_phi$ on the Dirichlet space and Bergman space are related. Our st rategy is to use local inverses and Riemann surface to study the reducing subspaces of $M_phi$ on the Bergman space, and we discover a new way to study the Riemann surface for $phi^{-1}circphi$. By this means, we determine the reducing subspaces of $M_phi$ on the Dirichlet space when the order of $phi$ is $5$; $6$; $7$ and answer some questions of Douglas-Putinar-Wang cite{DPW12}.
In this note we extend D. Singh and A. A. W. Mehannas invariant subspace theorem for $RH^1$ (the real Banach space of analytic functions in $H^1$ with real Taylor coefficients) to the simply invariant subspaces of $RL^1$ (the real Banach space of functions in $L^1$ with real Fourier coefficients).
We show that any bounded operator $T$ on a separable, reflexive, infinite-dimensional Banach space $X$ admits a rank one perturbation which has an invariant subspace of infinite dimension and codimension. In the non-reflexive spaces, we show that the same is true for operators which have non-eigenvalues in the boundary of their spectrum. In the Hilbert space, our methods produce perturbations that are also small in norm, improving on an old result of Brown and Pearcy.
Multipliers of reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces can be characterized in terms of positivity of $n times n$ matrices analogous to the classical Pick matrix. We study for which reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces it suffices to consider matrices of boun ded size $n$. We connect this problem to the notion of subhomogeneity of non-selfadjoint operator algebras. Our main results show that multiplier algebras of many Hilbert spaces of analytic functions, such as the Dirichlet space and the Drury-Arveson space, are not subhomogeneous, and hence one has to test Pick matrices of arbitrarily large matrix size $n$. To treat the Drury-Arveson space, we show that multiplier algebras of certain weighted Dirichlet spaces on the disc embed completely isometrically into the multiplier algebra of the Drury-Arveson space.
We consider reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces of Dirichlet series with kernels of the form $k(s,u) = sum a_n n^{-s-bar u}$, and characterize when such a space is a complete Pick space. We then discuss what it means for two reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces to be the same, and introduce a notion of weak isomorphism. Many of the spaces we consider turn out to be weakly isomorphic as reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces to the Drury-Arveson space $H^2_d$ in $d$ variables, where $d$ can be any number in ${1,2,ldots, infty}$, and in particular their multiplier algebras are unitarily equivalent to the multiplier algebra of $H^2_d$. Thus, a family of multiplier algebras of Dirichlet series are exhibited with the property that every complete Pick algebra is a quotient of each member of this family. Finally, we determine precisely when such a space of Dirichlet series is weakly isomorphic to $H^2_d$ and when its multiplier algebra is isometrically isomorphic to $Mult(H^2_d)$.
