We prove that any positive solution of the Yamabe equation on an asymptotically flat $n$-dimensional manifold of flatness order at least $frac{n-2}{2}$ and $nle 24$ must converge at infinity either to a fundamental solution of the Laplace operator on the Euclidean space or to a radial Fowler solution defined on the entire Euclidean space. The flatness order $frac{n-2}{2}$ is the minimal flatness order required to define ADM mass in general relativity; the dimension $24$ is the dividing dimension of the validity of compactness of solutions to the Yamabe problem. We also prove such alternatives for bounded solutions when $n>24$. We prove these results by establishing appropriate asymptotic behavior near an isolated singularity of solutions to the Yamabe equation when the metric has a flatness order of at least $frac{n-2}{2}$ at the singularity and $n<24$, also when $n>24$ and the solution grows no faster than the fundamental solution of the flat metric Laplacian at the singularity. These results extend earlier results of L. Caffarelli, B. Gidas and J. Spruck, also of N. Korevaar, R. Mazzeo, F. Pacard and R. Schoen, when the metric is conformally flat, and work of C.C. Chen and C. S. Lin when the scalar curvature is a non-constant function with appropriate flatness at the singular point, also work of F. Marques when the metric is not necessarily conformally flat but smooth, and the dimension of the manifold is three, four, or five, as well as recent similar results by the second and third authors in dimension six.

The Gursky-Streets equation are introduced as the geodesic equation of a metric structure in conformal geometry. This geometric structure has played a substantial role in the proof of uniqueness of $sigma_2$ Yamabe problem in dimension four. In this paper we solve the Gursky-Streets equations with uniform $C^{1, 1}$ estimates for $2kleq n$. An important new ingredient is to show the concavity of the operator which holds for all $kleq n$. Our proof of the concavity heavily relies on Gardings theory of hyperbolic polynomials and results from the theory of real roots for (interlacing) polynomials. Together with this concavity, we are able to solve the equation with the uniform $C^{1, 1}$ emph{a priori estimates} for all the cases $ngeq 2k$. Moreover, we establish the uniqueness of the solution to the degenerate equations for the first time. As an application, we prove that if $kgeq 3$ and $M^{2k}$ is conformally flat, any solution solution of $sigma_k$ Yamabe problem is conformal diffeomorphic to the round sphere $S^{2k}$.
We prove sharp blow up rates of solutions of higher order conformally invariant equations in a bounded domain with an isolated singularity, and show the asymptotic radial symmetry of the solutions near the singularity. This is an extension of the cel ebrated theorem of Caffarelli-Gidas-Spruck for the second order Yamabe equation with isolated singularities to higher order equations. Our approach uses blow up analysis for local integral equations, and is unified for all critical elliptic equations of order smaller than the dimension. We also prove the existence of Fowler solutions to the global equations, and establish a sup*inf type Harnack inequality of Schoen for integral equations.

We prove, in the framework of measure solutions, that the equal mito-sis equation present persistent asymptotic oscillations. To do so we adopt a duality approach, which is also well suited for proving the well-posedness when the division rate is unb ounded. The main difficulty for characterizing the asymptotic behavior is to define the projection onto the subspace of periodic (rescaled) solutions. We achieve this by using the generalized relative entropy structure of the dual problem.

In this paper, we investigate the problem of blow up and sharp upper bound estimates of the lifespan for the solutions to the semilinear wave equations, posed on asymptotically Euclidean manifolds. Here the metric is assumed to be exponential perturb ation of the spherical symmetric, long range asymptotically Euclidean metric. One of the main ingredients in our proof is the construction of (unbounded) positive entire solutions for $Delta_{g}phi_lambda=lambda^{2}phi_lambda$, with certain estimates which are uniform for small parameter $lambdain (0,lambda_0)$. In addition, our argument works equally well for semilinear damped wave equations, when the coefficient of the dissipation term is integrable (without sign condition) and space-independent.

We study the asymptotic large time behavior of singular solutions of the fast diffusion equation $u_t=Delta u^m$ in $({mathbb R}^nsetminus{0})times(0,infty)$ in the subcritical case $0<m<frac{n-2}{n}$, $nge3$. Firstly, we prove the existence of singu lar solution $u$ of the above equation that is trapped in between self-similar solutions of the form of $t^{-alpha} f_i(t^{-beta}x)$, $i=1,2$, with initial value $u_0$ satisfying $A_1|x|^{-gamma}le u_0le A_2|x|^{-gamma}$ for some constants $A_2>A_1>0$ and $frac{2}{1-m}<gamma<frac{n-2}{m}$, where $beta:=frac{1}{2-gamma(1-m)}$, $alpha:=frac{2beta-1}{1-m},$ and the self-similar profile $f_i$ satisfies the elliptic equation $$ Delta f^m+alpha f+beta xcdot abla f=0quad mbox{in ${mathbb R}^nsetminus{0}$} $$ with $lim_{|x|to0}|x|^{frac{ alpha}{ beta}}f_i(x)=A_i$ and $lim_{|x|toinfty}|x|^{frac{n-2}{m}}{f_i}(x)= D_{A_i} $ for some constants $D_{A_i}>0$. When $frac{2}{1-m}<gamma<n$, under an integrability condition on the initial value $u_0$ of the singular solution $u$, we prove that the rescaled function $$ tilde u(y,tau):= t^{,alpha} u(t^{,beta} y,t),quad{ tau:=log t}, $$ converges to some self-similar profile $f$ as $tautoinfty$.
