Let $Pin Bbb Q_p[x,y]$, $sin Bbb C$ with sufficiently large real part, and consider the integral operator $ (A_{P,s}f)(y):=frac{1}{1-p^{-1}}int_{Bbb Z_p}|P(x,y)|^sf(x) |dx| $ on $L^2(Bbb Z_p)$. We show that if $P$ is homogeneous then for each character $chi$ of $Bbb Z_p^times$ the characteristic function $det(1-uA_{P,s,chi})$ of the restriction $A_{P,s,chi}$ of $A_{P,s}$ to the eigenspace $L^2(Bbb Z_p)_chi$ is the $q$-Wronskian of a set of solutions of a (possibly confluent) $q$-hypergeometric equation. In particular, the nonzero eigenvalues of $A_{P,s,chi}$ are the reciprocals of the zeros of such $q$-Wronskian.

We prove a $p$-adic version of the Integral Geometry Formula for averaging the intersection of two $p$-adic projective algebraic sets. We apply this result to give bounds on the number of points in the modulo $p^m$ reduction of a projective set (repr oving a result by Oesterle) and to the study of random $p$-adic polynomial systems of equations.
We consider an integral transform introduced by Prabhakar, involving generalised multi-parameter Mittag-Leffler functions, which can be used to introduce and investigate several different models of fractional calculus. We derive a new series expressi on for this transform, in terms of classical Riemann-Liouville fractional integrals, and use it to obtain or verify series formulae in various specific cases corresponding to different fractional-calculus models. We demonstrate the power of our result by applying the series formula to derive analogues of the product and chain rules in more general fractional contexts. We also discuss how the Prabhakar model can be used to explore the idea of fractional iteration in connection with semigroup properties.

A Borel probability measure $mu$ on a locally compact group is called a spectral measure if there exists a subset of continuous group characters which forms an orthogonal basis of the Hilbert space $L^2(mu)$. In this paper, we characterize all spectr al measures in the field $mathbb{Q}_p$ of $p$-adic numbers.
This article develops a novel approach to the representation of singular integral operators of Calderon-Zygmund type in terms of continuous model operators, in both the classical and the bi-parametric setting. The representation is realized as a fini te sum of averages of wavelet projections of either cancellative or noncancellative type, which are themselves Calderon-Zygmund operators. Both properties are out of reach for the established dyadic-probabilistic technique. Unlike their dyadic counterparts, our representation reflects the additional kernel smoothness of the operator being analyzed. Our representation formulas lead naturally to a new family of $T(1)$ theorems on weighted Sobolev spaces whose smoothness index is naturally related to kernel smoothness. In the one parameter case, we obtain the Sobolev space analogue of the $A_2$ theorem; that is, sharp dependence of the Sobolev norm of $T$ on the weight characteristic is obtained in the full range of exponents. In the bi-parametric setting, where local average sparse domination is not generally available, we obtain quantitative $A_p$ estimates which are best known, and sharp in the range $max{p,p}geq 3$ for the fully cancellative case.
We study $p$-adic multiresolution analyses (MRAs). A complete characterisation of test functions generating MRAs (scaling functions) is given. We prove that only 1-periodic test functions may be taken as orthogonal scaling functions. We also suggest a method for the construction of wavelet functions and prove that any wavelet function generates a $p$-adic wavelet frame.
