Based on the Jacobi metric method, this paper studies the deflection of a charged massive particle by a novel four-dimensional charged Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet black hole. We focus on the weak field approximation and consider the deflection angle with finite distance effects. To this end, we use a geometric and topological method, which is to apply the Gauss-Bonnet theorem to the Jacobi space to calculate the deflection angle. We find that the deflection angle contains a pure gravitational contribution $delta_g$, a pure electrostatic $delta_c$ and a gravitational-electrostatic coupling term $delta_{gc}$. We also show that the electrostatic contribution $delta_c$ can also be computed by the Jacobi metric method using the GB theorem to a charge in a Minkowski flat spacetime background. We find that the deflection angle increases(decreases) if the Gauss-Bonnet coupling constant $alpha$ is negative(positive). Furthermore, the effects of the BH charge, the particle charge-to-mass ratio and the particle velocity on the deflection angle are analyzed.

In this paper, we investigate the photon sphere, shadow radius and quasinormal modes of a four-dimensional charged Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet black hole. The perturbation of a massless scalar field in the black holes background is adopted. The quasinormal modes are gotten by the $6th$ order WKB approximation approach and shadow radius, respectively. When the value of the Gauss-Bonnet coupling constant increase, the values of the real parts of the quasinormal modes increase and those of the imaginary parts decrease. The coincidence degrees of quasinormal modes derived by the two approaches increases with the increase of the values of the Gauss-Bonnet coupling constant and multiple number. It shows the correspondence between the shadow and test field in the four-dimensional Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet-Maxwell gravity. The radii of the photon sphere and shadow increase with the decrease of the Gauss-Bonnet coupling constant.

We study the charge of the 4D-Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet black hole by a negative charge and a positive charge of a particle-antiparticle pair on the horizons r- and r+, respectively. We show that there are two types of the Schwarzschild black hole. We sh ow also that the Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet black hole charge has quantified values. We obtain the Hawking-Bekenstein formula with two logarithmic corrections, the second correction depends on the cosmological constant and the black hole charge. Finally, we study the thermodynamics of the EGB-AdS black hole.
In this paper, we investigate the four-dimensional Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet black hole. The thermodynamic variables and equations of state of black holes are obtained in terms of a new parameterization. We discuss a formulation of the van der Waals equa tion by studying the effects of the temperature on P-V isotherms. We show the influence of the Cauchy horizon on the thermodynamic parameters. We prove by different methods, that the black hole entropy obey area law (plus logarithmic term that depends on the Gauss-Bonnet coupling {alpha}). We propose a physical meaning for the logarithmic correction to the area law. This work can be extended to the extremal EGB black hole, in that case, we study the relationship between compressibility factor, specific heat and the coupling {alpha}.
We investigated the superradiance and stability of the novel 4D charged Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet black hole which is recently inspired by Glavan and Lin [Phys. Rev. Lett. 124, 081301 (2020)]. We found that the positive Gauss-Bonnet coupling consant $alp ha$ enhances the superradiance, while the negative $alpha$ suppresses it. The condition for superradiant instability is proved. We also worked out the quasinormal modes (QNMs) of the charged Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet black hole and found that the real part of all the QNMs live beyond the superradiance condition and the imaginary parts are all negative. Therefore this black hole is superradiant stable. When $alpha$ makes the black hole extremal, there are normal modes.
The fundamental equation of the thermodynamic system gives the relation between internal energy, entropy and volume of two adjacent equilibrium states. Taking higher dimensional charged Gauss-Bonnet black hole in de Sitter space as a thermodynamic sy stem, the state parameters have to meet the fundamental equation of thermodynamics. We introduce the effective thermodynamic quantities to describe the black hole in de Sitter space. Considering that in the lukewarm case the temperature of the black hole horizon is equal to that of the cosmological horizon, the effective temperature of spacetime is the same, we conjecture that the effective temperature has the same value. In this way, we can obtain the entropy formula of spacetime by solving the differential equation. We find that the total entropy contain an extra terms besides the sum of the entropies of the two horizons. The corrected terms of the entropy is a function of horizon radius ratio, and is independent of the charge of the spacetime.
