The understanding of the antineutrino production in fission and the theoretical calculation of their energy spectra in different types of fission reactors rely on the application of the summation method, where the individual contributions from the different radioactive nuclides that undergo a beta decay are estimated and summed up. The most accurate estimation of the independent fission-product yields is essential to this calculation. We have coupled for the first time the predictions of the general fission model GEF for the fission yields to fission-product beta-decay data in a summation calculation of reactor antineutrino energy spectra. The first comparisons performed between the spectra from GEF and those obtained with the evaluated nuclear databases exhibited large discrepancies that highlighted the exigency of the modelisation of the antineutrino spectra and showing their usefulness in the evaluation of nuclear data. Additional constraints for the GEF model were thus needed in order to reach the level of accuracy required. The quality of different sources of information on the fission yields has been investigated with GEF, and the benefit of a combined analysis is demonstrated. The quality of fission yields emerging from different experimental techniques has been analyzed and indications for shortcomings of mass yields for some of the studied fissioning systems were provided. The combination of a careful study of the independent isotopic yields and the adjunction of the LOHENGRIN fission-yield data as additional constraints led to a substantially improved agreement between the antineutrino spectra computed with GEF and with the evaluated data. The comparison of inverse beta-decay yields computed with GEF with those measured by the Daya Bay experiment shows the excellent level of predictiveness of the GEF model for the fundamental or applied antineutrino physics.

The GEneral description of Fission observables (GEF) model was developed to produce fission related nuclear data which are of crucial importance for basic and applied nuclear physics. The investigation of the performance of the GEF code is here exten ded to a region in fissioning-system mass, charge, excitation energy and angular momentum, as well as to new observables, that could not be benchmarked in detail so far. The work focuses on fragment mass and isotopic distributions, benefiting from recent innovative measurements. The approach reveals a high degree of consistency and provides a very reasonable description of the new data. The physics behind specific discrepancies is discussed, and hints to improve on are given. Comparison of the calculation with experiment permits to highlight the influence of the system intrinsic properties, their interplay, and the importance of experimental aspects, namely instrumental resolution. All together points to the necessity of as selective and accurate as possible experimental data, for proper unfolding of the different influences and robust interpretation of the measurement. The GEF code has become a widely used tool for this purpose
The simultaneous measurement of the isotopic fission-fragment yields and fission-fragment velocities of $^{239}$U has been performed for the first time. The $^{239}$U fissioning system was produced in one-neutron transfer reactions between a $^{238}$ U beam at 5.88 MeV/nucleon and a $^{9}$Be target. The combination of inverse kinematics at low energy and the use of the VAMOS++ spectrometer at the GANIL facility allows the isotopic identification of the full fission-fragment distribution and their velocity in the reference frame of the fissioning system. The proton and neutron content of the fragments at scission, their total kinetic and total excitation energy, as well as the neutron multiplicity were determined. Information from the scission point configuration is obtained from these observables and the correlation between them. The role of the octupole-deformed proton and neutron shells in the fission-fragment production is discussed.

Recent experiments [Phys. Rev. Lett. 123, 092503(2019); Phys. Rev. Lett. 118, 222501 (2017)] have made remarkable progress in measurements of the isotopic fission-fragment yields of the compound nucleus $^{239}$U, which is of great interests for fast -neutron reactors and for benchmarks of fission models. We apply the Bayesian neural network (BNN) approach to learn existing evaluated charge yields and infer the incomplete charge yields of $^{239}$U. We found the two-layer BNN is improved compared to the single-layer BNN for the overall performance. Our results support the normal charge yields of $^{239}$U around Sn and Mo isotopes. The role of odd-even effects in charge yields has also been studied.

Reactor antineutrino experiment are used to study neutrino oscillation, search for signatures of nonstandard neutrino interaction, and monitor reactor operation for safeguard application. Reactor simulation is an important source of uncertainties for a reactor neutrino experiment. Commercial code is used for reactor simulation to evaluate fission fraction in Daya Bay neutrino experiment, but the source code doesnt open to our researcher results from commercial secret. In this study, The open source code DRAGON was improved to calculate the fission rates of the four most important isotopes in fissions, $^{235}$U,$^{238}$U,$^{239}$Pu and $^{241}$Pu, and then was validated for PWRs using the Takahama-3 benchmark. The fission fraction results are consistent with those of MITs results. Then, fission fraction of Daya Bay reactor core was calculated by using improved DRAGON code, and the fission fraction calculated by DRAGON agreed well with these calculated by SCIENCE. The average deviation less than 5% for all the four isotopes. The correlation coefficient matrix between $^{235}$U,$^{238}$U,$^{239}$Pu and $^{241}$Pu were also studied using DRAGON, and then the uncertainty of the antineutrino flux by the fission fraction was calculated by using the correlation coefficient matrix. The uncertainty of the antineutrino flux by the fission fraction simulation is 0.6% per core for Daya Bay antineutrino experiment. The uncertainties source of fission fraction calculation need further to be studied in the future.
We reinvestigated the neutron multiplicity yields of Ba-Mo, Ce-Zr, Te-Pd, and Nd-Sr from the spontaneous fission of $^{252}$Cf; by (i) using both $gamma$-$gamma$-$gamma$-$gamma$ and $gamma$-$gamma$-$gamma$ coincidence data, (ii) using up to date leve l scheme structures, and (iii) cross-checking analogous energy transitions in multiple isotopes, we have achieved higher precision than previous analyses. Particular attention was given to the Ba-Mo pairs where our results clearly confirm that the Ba-Mo yield data have a second hot fission mode where 8, 9, 10, and now 11 neutron evaporation channels are observed. These are the first observations of the 11 neutron channel. These 8-11 neutron channels are observed for the first time in the Ce-Zr pairs, but are not observed in other fission pairs. The measured intensities of the second mode in Ba-Mo and Ce-Zr pairs are $sim$1.5(4)$%$ and $sim$1.0(3)$%$, respectively. These high neutron number evaporation modes can be an indication of hyperdeformation and/or octupole deformation in $^{143-145}$Ba and in $^{146,148}$Ce at scission to give rise to such high neutron multiplicities.
