We study anomalous hydrodynamics with a dyonic charge. We show that the local second law of thermodynamics constrains the structure of the anomaly in addition to the structure of the hydrodynamic constitutive equations. In particular, we show that not only the usual $Ecdot B$ term but also $E^2 -B^2$ term should be present in the anomaly with a specific coefficient for the local entropy production to be positive definite.

We construct effective hydrodynamics for composite particles in (2+1) dimensions carrying a magnetic flux by employing a holographic approach. The hydrodynamics is obtained by perturbation of the dyonic black brane solutions in the derivative expansi on. We introduce a consistent way to avoid mixing of different orders in the expansion. Thanks to this method, it is possible to take the strong external magnetic field limit in the dual field theory. To compare our result with those for a composite particle system, we study several cases that correspond to special solutions of Einsteins equation and Maxwells equations.
We explore the low energy dynamics of charge two instantons and dyonic instantons in SU(2) 5-dimensional Yang-Mills. We make use of the moduli space approximation and first calculate the moduli space metric for two instantons. For dyonic instantons t he effective action of the moduli space approximation also includes a potential term which we calculate. Using the ADHM construction we are able to understand some aspects of the topology and structure of the moduli space. We find that instantons undergo right angled scattering after a head on collision and we are able to give an analytic description of this in terms of a quotient of the moduli space by symmetries of the ADHM data. We also explore the scattering of instantons and dyonic instantons numerically in a constrained region of the moduli space. Finally we exhibit some examples of closed geodesics on the moduli space, and geodesics which hit the moduli space singularities in finite time.
We employ a 3+1D anomalous hydrodynamics with initial condition generated by HIJING to simulate the chiral vortical effect and the chiral magnetic effect in heavy-ion collisions. This allows us to calculate the charge-dependent two-particle correlati ons with respect to the reaction plane at different collision energies and centralities. We then compare the computed results with the experimental data and give discussions on the possible background effects.
We argue that an effective field theory of local fluid elements captures the constraints on hydrodynamic transport stemming from the presence of quantum anomalies in the underlying microscopic theory. Focussing on global current anomalies for an arbi trary flavour group, we derive the anomalous constitutive relations in arbitrary even dimensions. We demonstrate that our results agree with the constraints on anomaly governed transport derived hitherto using a local version of the second law of thermodynamics. The construction crucially uses the anomaly inflow mechanism and involves a novel thermofield double construction. In particular, we show that the anomalous Ward identities necessitate non-trivial interaction between the two parts of the Schwinger-Keldysh contour.

Recently it was shown that the scaling dimension of the operator $phi^n$ in $lambda(phi^*phi)^2$ theory may be computed semi-classically at the Wilson-Fisher fixed point in $d=4-epsilon$, for generic values of $lambda n$ and this was verified to two loop order in perturbation theory at leading and sub-leading $n$. In subsequent work, this result was generalised to operators of fixed charge $Q$ in $O(N)$ theory and verified up to three loops in perturbation theory at leading and sub-leading order. Here we extend this verification to four loops in $O(N)$ theory, once again at leading and sub-leading order. We also investigate the strong-coupling regime.
