We study the collision frequency of electron-neutral-particle in the weakly ionized plasma with the power-law velocity q-distribution and derive the formulation of the average collision frequency. We find that the average collision frequency in the q-distributed plasma also depends strongly on the q-parameter and thus is generally different from that in the Maxwell-distributed plasma, which therefore modifies the transport coefficients in the previous studies of the weakly ionized plasmas with the power-law velocity distributions.

The collision frequencies of electron-neutral-particle in the weakly ionized complex plasmas with the non-Maxwellian velocity distributions are studied. The average collision frequencies of electron-neutral-particle in the plasmas are derived accurat ely. We find that these collision frequencies are significantly dependent on the power-law spectral indices of non-Maxwellian distribution functions and so they are generally different from the collision frequencies in the plasmas with a Maxwellian velocity distribution, which will affect the transport properties of the charged particles in the plasmas. Numerically analyses are made to show the roles of the spectral indices in the average collision frequencies respectively.

By using the generalized Boltzmann equation of transport in nonextensive statistics, we study transport properties of the diffusion flux and the heat flux of charged particles in the weakly ionized plasma with the power-law q-distributions under the magnetic field. We derive the tensor expressions of diffusion coefficient, thermal diffusion coefficient, mobility and thermal conductivity of electrons and ions in the q-distributed plasma under magnetic field. We show that the tensors of the diffusion coefficient, the thermal diffusion coefficient and the thermal conductivity are strongly depend on the q-parameters in nonextensive statistics, and so they are generally not the same as those in the magnetized plasma with a Maxwell distribution.

We investigate the dispersion relation and Landau damping of ion acoustic waves in the collisionless magnetic-field-free plasma if it is described by the nonextensive q-distributions of Tsallis statistics. We show that the increased numbers of supert hermal particles and low velocity particles can explain the strengthened and weakened modes of Landau damping, respectively, with the q-distribution. When the ion temperature is equal to the electron temperature, the weakly damped waves are found to be the distributions with small values of q.

We study the collision frequencies of particles in the weakly and highly ionized plasmas with the power-law q-distributions in nonextensive statistics. We derive the average collision frequencies of neutral-neutral particle, electron-neutral particle , ion-neutral particle, electron-electron, ion-ion and electron-ion, respectively, in the q-distributed plasmas. We show that the average collision frequencies depend strongly on the q-parameter in a complex form and thus their properties are significantly different from that in Maxwell-distributed plasmas. These new average collision frequencies are important for us to study accurately the transport property in the complex plasmas with non-Maxwell/power-law velocity distributions.
Electron neutral collision frequency is measured using both grounded and floating hairpin resonator probes in a 27 MHz parallel plate capacitively coupled plasma (CCP). Operating conditions are 0.1-2 Torr (13.3-267 Pa) in Ar, He, and Ar-He gas mixtur es. The method treats the hairpin probe as a two wire transmission line immersed in a dielectric medium. A minimization method is applied during the pressure and sheath correction process by sweeping over assumed collision frequencies in order to obtain the measured collision frequency. Results are compared to hybrid plasma equipment module (HPEM) simulations and show good agreement.
