We explore a simple parameterization of new physics that results in an ultraviolet complete gauge-quark sector of the Standard Model. Specifically, we add an antiscreening contribution to the beta functions of the gauge couplings and a flavor-independent, antiscreening contribution to the beta functions of the Yukawa couplings. These two free parameters give rise to an intricate web of Renormalization Group fixed points. Their predictive power extends to the flavor structure and mixing patterns, which we investigate to demonstrate that some of the free parameters of the Standard Model could be determined by the Renormalization Group flow.

The evolution equations of the Yukawa couplings and quark mixings are performed for the one-loop renormalisation group equations in six-dimensional models compactified in different possible ways to yield standard four space-time dimensions. Different possibilities for the matter fields are discussed, that is where they are in the bulk or localised to the brane. These two possibilities give rise to quite similar behaviours when studying the evolution of the Yukawa couplings and mass ratios. We find that for both scenarios, valid up to the unification scale, significant corrections are observed.

Constituent quark masses can be determined quite well from experimental data in several ways and one can obtain fairly accurate values for all six $m_q$. The strong quark-meson coupling $g=2pi /sqrt{3}$ arises from the quark-level linear $sigma$ mode l, whereas $e$ and $sintheta_w$ arise from weak interactions when the heavy $M_W$ and $M_Z$ are regarded as resonances in analogy with the strong KSFR relation. The Higgs boson mass, tied to null expectation value of charged Higgs components, is found to be around 317 GeV. Finally, the experimental CPV phase angle $delta$ and the three CKM angles $Theta_c, Theta_2, Theta_3$ are successfully deduced from the 6 constituent quark masses following Fritzschs approach.

The precise values of the running quark and lepton masses $m^{}_f(mu)$, which are defined in the modified minimal subtraction scheme ($overline{rm MS}$) with $mu$ being the renormalization scale and the subscript $f$ referring to all the charged ferm ions in the Standard Model (SM), are very useful for the model building of fermion masses and flavor mixing and for the precision calculations in the SM or its new-physics extensions. In this paper, we calculate the running fermion masses by taking account of the up-to-date experimental results collected by Particle Data Group and the latest theoretical higher-order calculations of relevant renormalization-group equations and matching conditions in the literature. The emphasis is placed on the quantitative estimation of current uncertainties on the running fermion masses, and the linear error propagation method is adopted to quantify the uncertainties, which has been justified by the Monte-Carlo simulations. We identify two main sources of uncertainties, i.e., one from the experimental inputs and the other from the truncations at finite-order loops. The correlations among the uncertainties of running parameters can be remarkable in some cases. The final results of running fermion masses at several representative energy scales are tabulated for further applications.

CP violation, fermion masses and mixing angles including that of neutrinos are studied in an SUSY SO(10)$times Delta (48)times$ U(1) model. The nonabelian SU(3) discrete family symmetry $Delta(48)$ associated with a simple scheme of U(1) charge assig nment on various fields concerned in superpotential leads to unique Yukawa coupling matrices with zero textures. Thirteen parameters involving masses and mixing angles in the quark and charged lepton sector are successfully predicted by only four parameters. The masses and mixing angles for the neutrino sector could also be predicted by constructing an appropriate heavy Majorana neutrino mass matrix without involving new parameters. It is found that the atmospheric neutrino deficit, the mass limit put by hot dark matter and the LSND $bar{ u}_{mu} to bar{ u}_{e}$ events may simultaneously be explained, but solar neutrino puzzle can be solved only by introducing a sterile neutrino. An additional parameter is added to obtain the mass and mixing of the sterile neutrino. The hadronic parameters $B_{K}$ and $f_{B}sqrt{B}$ are extracted from the observed $K^{0}$-$bar{K}^{0}$ and $B^{0}$-$bar{B}^{0}$ mixings respectively. The direct CP violation ($epsilon/epsilon$) in kaon decays and the three angles $alpha$, $beta$ and $gamma$ of the unitarity triangle in the CKM matrix are also presented. More precise measurements of $alpha_{s}(M_{Z})$, $|V_{cb}|$, $|V_{ub}/V_{cb}|$, $m_{t}$, as well as various CP violation and neutrino oscillation experiments will provide an important test for the present model and guide us to a more fundamental theory.

The evolution properties of Yukawa couplings and quark mixings are performed for the one-loop renormalization group equations in the Universal Extra Dimension (UED) model. It is found that the UED model has a substantial effect on the scaling of the fermion masses, including both quark and lepton sectors, whilst the radiative effects on the unitarity triangle is not a sensitive test in this model. Also, for this model, the renormalization invariants $R_{13}$ and $R_{23}$ describe the correlation between the mixing angles and mass ratios to a good approximation, with a variation of the order of $lambda^4$ and $lambda^5$ under energy scaling respectively.
