In spin chains with local unitary evolution preserving the magnetization $S^{rm z}$, the domain-wall state $left| dots uparrow uparrow uparrow uparrow uparrow downarrow downarrow downarrow downarrow downarrow dots right>$ typically melts. At large times, a non-trivial magnetization profile develops in an expanding region around the initial position of the domain-wall. For non-integrable dynamics the melting is diffusive, with entropy production within a melted region of size $sqrt{t}$. In contrast, when the evolution is integrable, ballistic transport dominates and results in a melted region growing linearly in time, with no extensive entropy production: the spin chain remains locally in states of zero entropy at any time. Here we show that, for the integrable spin-$1/2$ XXZ chain, low-energy quantum fluctuations in the melted region give rise to an emergent Luttinger liquid which, remarkably, differs from the equilibrium one. The striking feature of this emergent Luttinger liquid is its quasi-particle charge (or Luttinger parameter $K$) which acquires a fractal dependence on the XXZ chain anisotropy parameter $Delta$.

We investigate the non-equilibrium dynamics of a one-dimensional spin-1/2 XXZ model at zero-temperature in the regime $|Delta|< 1$, initially prepared in a product state with two domain walls i.e, $|downarrowdotsdownarrowuparrowdotsuparrowdownarrowdo tsdownarrowrangle$. At early times, the two domain walls evolve independently and only after a calculable time a non-trivial interplay between the two emerges and results in the occurrence of a split Fermi sea. For $Delta=0$, we derive exact asymptotic results for the magnetization and the spin current by using a semi-classical Wigner function approach, and we exactly determine the spreading of entanglement entropy exploiting the recently developed tools of quantum fluctuating hydrodynamics. In the interacting case, we analytically solve the Generalized Hydrodynamics equation providing exact expressions for the conserved quantities. We display some numerical results for the entanglement entropy also in the interacting case and we propose a conjecture for its asymptotic value.
Under a perfect periodic potential, the electric current density induced by a constant electric field may exhibit nontrivial oscillations, so-called Bloch oscillations, with an amplitude that remains nonzero in the large system size limit. Such oscil lations have been well studied for nearly noninteracting particles and observed in experiments. In this work, we revisit Bloch oscillations in strongly interacting systems. By analyzing the spin-1/2 XXZ chain, which can be mapped to a model of spinless electrons, we demonstrate that the current density at special values of the anisotropy parameter $Delta=-cos(pi/p)$ ($p=3,4,5,cdots$) in the ferromagnetic gapless regime behaves qualitatively the same as in the noninteracting case ($Delta=0$) even in the weak electric field limit. When $Delta$ deviates from these values, the amplitude of the oscillation under a weak electric field is suppressed by a factor of the system size. We estimate the strength of the electric field required to observe such a behavior using the Landau--Zener formula.
Finite-temperature spin transport in the quantum Heisenberg spin chain is known to be superdiffusive, and has been conjectured to lie in the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) universality class. Using a kinetic theory of transport, we compute the KPZ couplin g strength for the Heisenberg chain as a function of temperature, directly from microscopics; the results agree well with density-matrix renormalization group simulations. We establish a rigorous quantum-classical correspondence between the giant quasiparticles that govern superdiffusion and solitons in the classical continuous Landau-Lifshitz ferromagnet. We conclude that KPZ universality has the same origin in classical and quantum integrable isotropic magnets: a finite-temperature gas of low-energy classical solitons.

In this paper, we determine the geometric phase for the one-dimensional $XXZ$ Heisenberg chain with spin-$1/2$, the exchange couple $J$ and the spin anisotropy parameter $Delta$ in a longitudinal field(LF) with the reduced field strength $h$. Using t he Jordan-Wigner transformation and the mean-field theory based on the Wicks theorem, a semi-analytical theory has been developed in terms of order parameters which satisfy the self-consistent equations. The values of the order parameters are numerically computed using the matrix-product-state(MPS) method. The validity of the mean-filed theory could be checked through the comparison between the self-consistent solutions and the numerical results. Finally, we draw the the topological phase diagrams in the case $J<0$ and the case $J>0$.

We present a temperature and magnetic field dependence study of spin transport and magnetothermal corrections to the thermal conductivity in the spin S = 1/2 integrable easy-plane regime Heisenberg chain, extending an earlier analysis based on the Be the ansatz method. We critically discuss the low temperature, weak magnetic field behavior, the effect of magnetothermal corrections in the vicinity of the critical field and their role in recent thermal conductivity experiments in 1D quantum magnets.
