We present results for Higgs boson pair production with variations of the trilinear Higgs boson self-coupling at next-to-leading order (NLO) in QCD including the full top quark mass dependence. Differential results at 14 TeV are presented, and we discuss the implications of anomalous trilinear couplings as well as differences between the PYTHIA 8.2 and HERWIG 7.1 parton showers in combination with POWHEG. The implementation of the NLO QCD calculation with variable Higgs boson self-coupling is made publicly available in the POWHEG-BOX-V2 Monte Carlo framework. A simple method for using the new implementation to study also variations of the top quark Yukawa coupling is described.

We present the Higgs Characterisation (HC) framework to study the properties of the Higgs boson observed at 125 GeV. In this report, we focus on CP properties of the top-quark Yukawa interaction, and show predictions at next-to-leading order accuracy in QCD, including parton-shower effects, for Higgs production in association with a single top quark at the LHC.
A coupling of a scalar, charged under an unbroken global U(1) symmetry, to the Standard Model via the Higgs portal is one of the simplest gateways to a dark sector. Yet, for masses $m_{S}geq m_{H}/2$ there are few probes of such an interaction. In th is note we evaluate the sensitivity to the Higgs portal coupling of di-Higgs boson production at the LHC as well as at a future high energy hadron collider, FCC-hh, taking into account the full momentum dependence of the process. This significantly impacts the sensitivity compared to estimates of changes in the Higgs-coupling based on the effective potential. We also compare our findings to precision single Higgs boson probes such as the cross section for vector boson associated Higgs production at a future lepton collider, e.g. FCC-ee, as well as searches for missing energy based signatures.
We present a set of NLO SUSY-QCD calculations for the pair production of neutralinos and charginos at the LHC, and their matching to parton-shower programs in the framework of the POWHEG-BOX program package. The code we have developed provides a SUSY Les Houches Accord interface for setting supersymmetric input parameters. Decays of the neutralinos and charginos and parton-shower effects can be simulated with PYTHIA. To illustrate the capabilities of our program, we present phenomenological results for a representative SUSY parameter point. We find that NLO-QCD corrections increase the production rates for neutralinos and charginos significantly. The impact of parton-shower effects on distributions of the weakinos is small, but non-negligible for jet distributions.
In this work we explore the sensitivity to the Higgs self-coupling $lambda$ in the production of two Higgs bosons via vector boson scattering at the LHC. Although these production channels, concretely $W^+W^- to HH$ and $ ZZ to HH$, have lower rates than gluon-gluon fusion, they benefit from being tree level processes, being independent of top physics and having very distinctive kinematics that allow to obtain very clean experimental signatures. This makes them competitive channels concerning the sensitivity to the Higgs self-coupling. In order to give predictions for the sensitivity to this coupling, we first study the role of $lambda$ at the subprocess level, both in and beyond the Standard Model, to move afterwards to the LHC scenario. We characterize the $ppto HHjj$ case first and then provide quantitative results for the values of $lambda$ that can be probed at the LHC in vector boson scattering processes after considering the Higgs boson decays. We focus mainly in $ppto bbar{b}bbar{b}jj$, since it has the largest signal rates, and also comment on the potential of other channels, such as $ppto bbar{b}gammagamma jj$, as they lead to cleaner, although smaller, signals. Our whole study is performed for a center of mass energy of $sqrt{s}=14$ TeV and for various future expected LHC luminosities.
After reviewing the main features of the GoSam framework for automated one-loop calculations, we present a selection of recent phenomenological results obtained with it. In particular, we focus on the recent calculation of NLO QCD corrections to the production of a Higgs boson in conjunction with jets at the LHC.
