$QQ^prime qqbar q$ pentaquarks are studied in a potential model, under the hypothesis that they are composite objects of two diquarks and one antiquark. The interaction between two colored objects includes two contributions, one based on the $qbar q$ potential in QCD, computed in the gauge/string duality approach, and another describing the spin-spin interaction. The model has been extended to investigate pentaquarks with different quark content, as $Qqqqbar q$ and $Qqqqbar Q$, the latter including the states observed by LHCb, $P_c(4380)^+$ and $P_c(4450)^+$, later updated, with a new data sample, to $P_c(4312)^+$, $P_c(4440)^+$, and $P_c(4457)^+$.

The mass spectrum of hidden charm pentaquark states composed of two diquarks and an antiquark are calculated by use of an effective Hamiltonian which includes explicitly the spin, color, and flavor dependent interactions. The results show that the $P _c(4312)^+$ and $P_c(4440)^+$ states could be explained as hidden charm pentaquark states with isospin and spin-parity $IJ^P=1/2left(3/2^-right)$, the $P_c(4457)^+$ state could be explained as a hidden charm pentaquark state with $IJ^P=1/2left(5/2^-right)$, and the $P_{cs}(4459)^+$ state could be explained as a hidden charm pentaquark state with $IJ^P=0left(1/2^-right)$ or $0left(3/2^-right)$. Predications for the masses of other possible pentaquark states are also given, and the possible decay channels of these hidden charm pentaquark states are discussed.

We analyse the width of the $theta(frac12^+)$ pentaquark assuming that it is a bound state of two extended spin-zero $ud$-diquarks and the $bar s$ antiquark (the Jaffe-Wilczek scenario). The width obtained when the size parameters of the pentaquark w ave function are taken to be close to the parameters of the nucleon is found to be $simeq 150$ MeV, i.e. it has a normal value for a $P$-wave hadron decay with the corresponding energy release. However, we found a strong dynamical suppression of the decay width if the pentaquark has an asymmetric peanut structure with the strange antiquark in the center and the two diquarks rotating around. In this case a decay width of $simeq$ 1 MeV is a natural possibility.
A Bethe-Salpeter-Faddeev (BSF) calculation is performed for the pentaquark $Theta^+$ in the diquark picture of Jaffe and Wilczek in which $Theta^+$ is a diquark-diquark-${bar s}$ three-body system. Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model is used to calculate the lowest order diagrams in the two-body scatterings of ${bar s}D$ and $D D$. With the use of coupling constants determined from the meson sector, we find that ${bar s}D$ interaction is attractive in s-wave while $DD$ interaction is repulsive in p-wave. With only the lowest three-body channel considered, we do not find a bound $ frac 12^+$ pentaquark state. Instead, a bound pentaquark $Theta^+$ with $ frac 12^-$ is obtained with a unphysically strong vector mesonic coupling constants.

We present a path-integral hadronization for doubly heavy baryons. The two heavy quarks in the baryon are approximated as a scalar or axial-vector diquark described by a heavy diquark effective theory. The gluon dynamics are represented by a NJL-Mode l interaction for the heavy diquarks and light quarks, which leads to an effective action of the baryon fields after the quark and diquark fields are integrated out. This effective action for doubly heavy baryon includes the electromagnetic and electroweak interactions, as well as the interaction with light mesons. We also verify the Ward-Takahashi identity at the baryon level, obtain the Isgur-Wise function for weak transitions, and calculate the strong coupling constant of the doubly heavy baryon and pion. Numerical studies are also performed.
We find that several thresholds can contribute to the enhancements of the newly observed heavy pentaquark candidates $P_c^+(4380)$ and $P_c^+(4450)$ via the anomalous triangle singularity (ATS) transitions in the specific kinematics of $Lambda_bto J/ psi K^- p$. Apart from the observed two peaks we find that another peaks around 4.5 GeV can also be produced by the ATS. We also show that the $Sigma_c^{(*)}$ can be produced at leading order in $Lambda_b$ decay. This process is different from the triangle diagram and its threshold enhancement only appears as CUSP effects if there is no pole structure or the ATS involved. The threshold interaction associated with the presence of the ATS turns out to be a general phenomenon and plays a crucial role in the understanding of candidates for exotic states.
