We present a systematic spurion setup called Aligned Flavor Violation (AFV) that allows for new physics couplings to quarks that are aligned with the Standard Model (SM) Yukawas, but do not necessarily share their hierarchies nor are family universal. Additionally, we show that there is an important subset of AFV called Spontaneous Flavor Violation (SFV), which naturally arises from UV completions where the quark family number and CP groups are spontaneously broken. Flavor-changing neutral currents are strongly suppressed in SFV extensions of the SM. We study SFV from an effective field theory perspective and demonstrate that SFV new physics with significant and preferential couplings to first or second generation quarks may be close to the TeV scale.

We study the contributions of supersymmetric models with a $U(1)$ horizontal symmetry and only spontaneous CP breaking to various lepton flavor observables, such as $mu to egamma$ and the electron electric dipole moment. We show that both a horizonta l symmetry and a lack of explicit CP violation can alleviate the existing bounds from such observables. The undetermined $mathcal{O}(1)$ coefficients in such mass matrix models muddle the interpretation of the bounds from various flavor observables. To overcome this, we define a new fine-tuning measure for different observables in such setups. This allows us to study how naturally the observed IR flavor observables can emerge from a given mass matrix model. We use our flavor-naturalness measure in study of our supersymmetric models and quantify the degree of fine tuning required by the bounds from various lepton flavor observables at each mass scale of sleptons, neutralinos, and charginos.
We show that new physics models without new flavor violating interactions can explain the recent anomalies in the $bto sell^+ell^-$ transitions. The $bto sell^+ell^-$ arises from a $Z$ penguin which automatically predicts the $V-A$ structure for the quark currents in the effective operators. This framework can be realized either in a renormalizable $U(1)$ setup or be due to new strongly interacting dynamics. The di-muon resonance searches at the LHC are becoming sensitive to this scenario since the $Z$ is relatively light, and could well be discovered in future searches by ATLAS and CMS.
We have studied the scotogenic model proposed by Ernest Ma, which is an extension of the Standard Model by three singlet right-handed neutrinos and a scalar doublet. This model proposes that the light neutrinos acquire a non-zero mass at 1-loop level . In this work, the realisation of the scotogenic model is done by using discrete symmetries $A_{4}times Z_{4}$ in which the non-zero $theta_{13}$ is produced by assuming a non-degeneracy in the loop factor. Considering different lepton flavor violating(LFV) processes such as $l_{alpha}longrightarrow l_{beta}gamma$ and $l_{alpha}longrightarrow 3l_{beta}$, their impact on neutrino phenomenology is studied. We have also analysed $0 ubetabeta$ and baryon asymmetry of the Universe (BAU) in this work.

We derive sufficient conditions that guarantee a robust solution of the strong CP problem in theories with spontaneous CP violation, and introduce a class of models satisfying these requirements. In the simplest scenarios the dominant contribution to the topological angle arises at 3-loop order in the Yukawa couplings. A variety of realizations are possible on a warped extra dimension, which can simultaneously address the Planck-TeV hierarchy. Experimental signatures of this approach to the strong CP problem include flavor violation and vector-like partners of the top or bottom quarks.
In order to address the baryon asymmetry in the Universe one needs to understand the origin of baryon (B) and lepton (L) number violation. In this article, we discuss the mechanism of baryogenesis via leptogenesis to explain the matter-antimatter asy mmetry in theories with spontaneous breaking of baryon and lepton number. In this context, a lepton asymmetry is generated through the out-of-equilibrium decays of right-handed neutrinos at the high-scale, while local baryon number must be broken below the multi-TeV scale to satisfy the cosmological bounds on the dark matter relic density. We demonstrate how the lepton asymmetry generated via leptogenesis can be converted in two different ways: a) in the theory predicting Majorana dark matter the lepton asymmetry is converted into a baryon asymmetry, and b) in the theory with Dirac dark matter the decays of right-handed neutrinos can generate lepton and dark matter asymmetries that are then partially converted into a baryon asymmetry. Consequently, we show how to explain the matter-antimatter asymmetry, the dark matter relic density and neutrino masses in theories for local baryon and lepton number.
