We propose six new benchmark scenarios for Higgs boson searches in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. Our calculations follow the recommendations of the LHC Higgs Cross Section Working Group, and benefit from recent developments in the predictions for the Higgs-boson masses and mixing. All of the proposed scenarios are compatible with the most recent results from Run 2 of the LHC. In particular, they feature a scalar with mass and couplings compatible with those of the observed Higgs boson, and a significant portion of their parameter space is allowed by the limits from the searches for SUSY particles and additional Higgs bosons. We define a scenario where all SUSY particles are relatively heavy, and two scenarios with light colorless SUSY particles (charginos, neutralinos and, in one case, staus). In addition, we present two scenarios featuring alignment without decoupling, realized with either the lighter or the heavier scalar being SM-like, and a scenario with CP violation.

The recent results from the ATLAS and CMS collaborations show that the allowed range for a Standard Model Higgs boson is now restricted to a very thin region. Although those limits are presented exclusively in the framework of the SM, the searches th emselves remain sensitive to other Higgs models. We recast the limits within a generic supersymmetric framework that goes beyond the usual minimal extension. Such a generic model can be parameterised through a supersymmetric effective Lagrangian with higher order operators appearing in the Kahler potential and the superpotential, an approach whose first motivation is to alleviate the fine-tuning problem in supersymmetry with the most dramatic consequence being a substantial increase in the mass of the lightest Higgs boson as compared to the minimal supersymmetic model. We investigate in this paper the constraints set by the LHC on such models. We also investigate how the present picture will change when gathering more luminosity. Issues of how to combine and exploit data from the LHC dedicated to searches for the standard model Higgs to such supersymmetry inspired scenarios are discussed. We also discuss the impact of invisible decays of the Higgs in such scenarios.

We investigate the prospects for Central Exclusive Production (CEP) of MSSM Higgs bosons at the LHC using forward proton detectors proposed to be installed at 220 m and 420 m distance around ATLAS and / or CMS. We summarize the situation after the fi rst and very successful data taking period of the LHC. The discovery of a Higgs boson and results from searches for additional MSSM Higgs bosons from both the ATLAS and CMS experiments, based on data samples each corresponding to about 25 fb-1, have recently led to a proposal of new low-energy MSSM benchmark scenarios. The CEP signal cross section for the process H/h -> bb and its backgrounds are estimated in these new scenarios. We also make some comments about the experimental procedure if the proposed forward proton detectors are to be used to measure the CEP signal.
The prospects for central exclusive diffractive (CED) production of MSSM Higgs bosons at the LHC are reviewed. It is shown that the CED channels, making use of forward proton detectors at the LHC installed at 220 m and 420 m distance around ATLAS and / or CMS, can provide important information on the Higgs sector of the MSSM. In particular, CED production of the neutral CP-even Higgs bosons h and H and their decays into bottom quarks has the potential to probe interesting regions of the M_A--tan_beta parameter plane of the MSSM and may give access to the bottom Yukawa couplings of the Higgs bosons up to masses of M_H approx 250 GeV.

A summary of the Higgs boson searches by the ATLAS and CMS collabrations using 1 f b-1 of LHC data is presented, concentrating on the Standard Model Higgs boson. Both experiments have the sensitivity to exclude at 95% CL a Standard Model Higgs boson in most of the Higgs boson mass region between about 130 GeV and 400 GeV. The observed data allow the exclusion of a Higgs Boson of mass 155 GeV to 190 GeV and 295 GeV to 450 GeV (ATLAS) and 149 GeV to 206 GeV and 300 GeV to 440 GeV (CMS). The lower limits are not as constraining as might be expected due to an excess in both experiments of order 2-3{sigma} which could be related to a low mass Higgs boson or to a statistical fluctuation.
We analyse the phenomenological implications of a light Higgs boson, $h$, within the CP-conserving 2-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) Type-I, for the detection prospects of the charged $H^pm$ state at Run II of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), assuming $sq rt{s}=13$ TeV as energy and ${cal O}(100~{rm fb}^{-1})$ as luminosity. When sufficiently light, this $h$ state can open up the bosonic decay channel $H^pm to W^{pm(*)}h$, which may have a branching ratio significantly exceeding those of the $H^pm to tau u$ and $H^pm to cs$ channels. We perform a broad scan of the 2HDM Type-I parameter space, assuming the heavier of the two CP-even Higgs bosons, $H$, to be the observed SM-like state with a mass near 125 GeV. Through these scans we highlight regions in which $m_{H^pm} < m_t +m_b$ that are still consistent with the most recent limits from experimental searches. We find in these regions that, when the $H^pm to W^{pm(*)}h$ decay mode is the dominant one, the $h$ can be highly fermiophobic, with a considerably large decay rate in the $gammagamma$ channel. This can result in the total cross section of the $sigma(ppto H^pm h to W^{pm(*)} + 4gamma)$ process reaching up to ${cal O}(100~{rm fb})$. We therefore investigate the possibility of observing this spectacular signal at the LHC Run II.
