The ladder operators for one dimensional quantum harmonic oscillator were constructed by Schrodinger in 1940s. We extend this method to a two dimensional uniform magnetic field and establish the ladder operators which depend on all spatial variables of quantum system. The Hamiltonian of quantum system can also be written by the velocity of the particle.

We solve the Schrodinger equation for a charged particle in the non-uniform magnetic field by using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. We find the energy spectrum and the wave function, and present an explicit relation for the partition function. We give a nalytical expressions for the thermodynamic properties such as mean energy and magnetic susceptibility, and analyze the entropy, free energy and specific heat of this system numerically. It is concluded that the specific heat and magnetic susceptibility increase with external magnetic field strength and different values of the non-uniformity parameter, $alpha$, in the low temperature region, while the mentioned quantities are decreased in high temperature regions due to increasing the occupied levels at these regions. The non-uniformity parameter has the same effect with a constant value of the magnetic field on the behavior of thermodynamic properties. On the other hand, the results show that transition from positive to negative magnetic susceptibility depends on the values of non-uniformity parameter in the constant external magnetic field.
A formalism for describing charged particles interaction in both a finite volume and a uniform magnetic field is presented. In the case of short-range interaction between charged particles, we show that the factorization between short-range physics a nd finite volume long-range correlation effect is possible, a Luscher formula-like quantization condition is thus obtained.
We study the decoherence effects originating from state flipping and depolarization for two-dimensional discrete-time quantum walks using four-state and two-state particles. By quantifying the quantum correlations between the particle and position de gree of freedom and between the two spatial ($x-y$) degrees of freedom using measurement induced disturbance (MID), we show that the two schemes using a two-state particle are more robust against decoherence than the Grover walk, which uses a four-state particle. We also show that the symmetries which hold for two-state quantum walks breakdown for the Grover walk, adding to the various other advantages of using two-state particles over four-state particles.

We study the topological susceptibility and the fourth cumulant of the QCD vacuum in the presence of a uniform, background magnetic field in two-and-flavor QCD finding model-independent sum rules relating the shift in the topological susceptibility d ue to the background magnetic field to the shift in the quark condensates, and the shift in the fourth cumulant to the shifts in the quark condensates and susceptibilities.
We explore squeezed coherent states of a 3-dimensional generalized isotonic oscillator whose radial part is the newly introduced generalized isotonic oscillator whose bound state solutions have been shown to admit the recently discovered $X_1$-Laguer re polynomials. We construct a complete set of squeezed coherent states of this oscillator by exploring the squeezed coherent states of the radial part and combining the latter with the squeezed coherent states of the angular part. We also prove that the three mode squeezed coherent states resolve the identity operator. We evaluate Mandels $Q$-parameter of the obtained states and demonstrate that these states exhibit sub-Possionian and super-Possionian photon statistics. Further, we illustrate the squeezing properties of these states, both in the radial and angular parts, by choosing appropriate observables in the respective parts. We also evaluate Wigner function of these three mode squeezed coherent states and demonstrate squeezing property explicitly.
