We prove existence, uniqueness, and regularity for a reaction-diffusion system of coupled bulk-surface equations on a moving domain modelling receptor-ligand dynamics in cells. The nonlinear coupling between the three unknowns is through the Robin boundary condition for the bulk quantity and the right hand sides of the two surface equations. Our results are new even in the non-moving setting, and in this case we also show exponential convergence to a steady state. The primary complications in the analysis are indeed the nonlinear coupling and the Robin boundary condition. For the well posedness and essential boundedness of solutions we use several De Giorgi-type arguments, and we also develop some useful estimates to allow us to apply a Steklov averaging technique for time-dependent operators to prove that solutions are strong. Some of these auxiliary results presented in this paper are of independent interest by themselves.

We consider a coupled bulk-surface system of partial differential equations with nonlinear coupling modelling receptor-ligand dynamics. The model arises as a simplification of a mathematical model for the reaction between cell surface resident recept ors and ligands present in the extra-cellular medium. We prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions. We also consider a number of biologically relevant asymptotic limits of the model. We prove convergence to limiting problems which take the form of free boundary problems posed on the cell surface. We also report on numerical simulations illustrating convergence to one of the limiting problems as well as the spatio-temporal distributions of the receptors and ligands in a realistic geometry.
The system leading to phase segregation in two-component Bose-Einstein condensates can be generalized to hyperfine spin states with a Rabi term coupling. This leads to domain wall solutions having a monotone structure for a non-cooperative system. We use the moving plane method to prove mono-tonicity and one-dimensionality of the phase transition solutions. This relies on totally new estimates for a type of system for which no Maximum Principle a priori holds. We also derive that one dimensional solutions are unique up to translations. When the Rabi coefficient is large, we prove that no non-constant solutions can exist.
The two-dimensional Zakharov system is shown to have a unique global solution for data without finite energy if the L^2 - norm of the Schrodinger part is small enough. The proof uses a refined I-method originally initiated by Colliander, Keel, Staffi lani, Takaoka and Tao. A polynomial growth bound for the solution is also given.

We prove global existence in time of solutions to relaxed conservative cross diffusion systems governed by nonlinear operators of the form $u_ito partial_tu_i-Delta(a_i(tilde{u})u_i)$ where the $u_i, i=1,...,I$ represent $I$ density-functions, $tilde {u}$ is a spatially regularized form of $(u_1,...,u_I)$ and the nonlinearities $a_i$ are merely assumed to be continuous and bounded from below. Existence of global weak solutions is obtained in any space dimension. Solutions are proved to be regular and unique when the $a_i$ are locally Lipschitz continuous.
We consider a two-phase elliptic-parabolic moving boundary problem modelling an evaporation front in a porous medium. Our main result is a proof of short-time existence and uniqueness of strong solutions to the corresponding nonlinear evolution probl em in an $L_{p}$-setting. It relies critically on nonstandard optimal regularity results for a linear elliptic-parabolic system with dynamic boundary condition.
