Billey and Braden defined a geometric pattern map on flag manifolds which extends the generalized pattern map of Billey and Postnikov on Weyl groups. The interaction of this torus equivariant map with the Bruhat order and its action on line bundles lead to formulas for its pullback on the equivariant cohomology ring and on equivariant K-theory. These formulas are in terms of the Borel presentation, the basis of Schubert classes, and localization at torus fixed points.

We introduce a Bredon motivic cohomology theory for smooth schemes defined over a field and equipped with an action by a finite group. These cohomology groups are defined for finite dimensional representations as the hypercohomology of complexes of e quivariant correspondences in the equivariant Nisnevich topology. We generalize the theory of presheaves with transfers to the equivariant setting and prove a Cancellation Theorem.

We investigate the equivariant intersection cohomology of a toric variety. Considering the defining fan of the variety as a finite topological space with the subfans being the open sets (that corresponds to the toric topology given by the invariant o pen subsets), equivariant intersection cohomology provides a sheaf (of graded modules over a sheaf of graded rings) on that fan space. We prove that this sheaf is a minimal extension sheaf, i.e., that it satisfies three relatively simple axioms which are known to characterize such a sheaf up to isomorphism. In the verification of the second of these axioms, a key role is played by equivariantly formal toric varieties, where equivariant and usual (non-equivariant) intersection cohomology determine each other by Kunneth type formulae. Minimal extension sheaves can be constructed in a purely formal way and thus also exist for non-rational fans. As a consequence, we can extend the notion of an equivariantly formal fan even to this general setup. In this way, it will be possible to introduce virtual intersection cohomology for equivariantly formal non-rational fans.
We study the equivariant oriented cohomology ring $h_T(G/P)$ of partial flag varieties using the moment map approach. We define the right Hecke action on this cohomology ring, and then prove that the respective Bott-Samelson classes in $h_{T}(G/P)$ c an be obtained by applying this action to the fundamental class of the identity point, hence generalizing previously known results by Brion, Knutson, Peterson, Tymoczko and others. We then focus on the equivariant oriented cohomology theory corresponding to the 2-parameter Todd genus. We give a new interpretation of Deodhars construction of the parabolic Kazhdan-Lusztig basis. Based on it, we define the parabolic Kazhdan-Lusztig (KL) Schubert classes independently of a reduced word. We make a positivity conjecture, and a conjecture about the relationship of such classes with smoothness of Schubert varieties. We then prove several special cases.
We compute the $GL_{r+1}$-equivariant Chow class of the $GL_{r+1}$-orbit closure of any point $(x_1, ldots, x_n) in (mathbb{P}^r)^n$ in terms of the rank polytope of the matroid represented by $x_1, ldots, x_n in mathbb{P}^r$. Using these classes and generalizations involving point configurations in higher dimensional projective spaces, we define for each $dtimes n$ matrix $M$ an $n$-ary operation $[M]_hbar$ on the small equivariant quantum cohomology ring of $mathbb{P}^r$, which is the $n$-ary quantum product when $M$ is an invertible matrix. We prove that $M mapsto [M]_hbar$ is a valuative matroid polytope association. Like the quantum product, these operations satisfy recursive properties encoding solutions to enumerative problems involving point configurations of given moduli in a relative setting. As an application, we compute the number of line sections with given moduli of a general degree $2r+1$ hypersurface in $mathbb{P}^r$, generalizing the known case of quintic plane curves.
