Global structure of the (anti-)de~Sitter ((A)dS) generalization of the Roberts solution in general relativity with a massless scalar field and its topological generalization is clarified. In the case with a negative cosmological constant, the spacetime is asymptotically locally AdS and it contains a black-hole event horizon depending on the parameters. The spacetime may be attached to the exact AdS spacetime in a regular manner on a null hypersurface and the resulting spacetime represents gravitational collapse from a regular initial datum. The higher-dimensional counterpart of this Roberts-(A)dS solution with flat base manifold is also given.

We present compact Q-balls in an (Anti-)de Sitter background in D dimensions, obtained with a V-shaped potential of the scalar field. Beyond critical values of the cosmological constant compact Q-shells arise. By including the gravitational back-reac tion, we obtain boson stars and boson shells with (Anti-)de Sitter asymptotics. We analyze the physical properties of these solutions and determine their domain of existence. In four dimensions we address some astrophysical aspects.
We derive expressions for the general five-dimensional metric for Kerr-(A)dS black holes. The Klein-Gordon equation is explicitly separated and we show that the angular part of the wave equation leads to just one spheroidal wave equation, which is al so that for charged five-dimensional Kerr-(A)dS black holes. We present results for the perturbative expansion of the angular eigenvalue in powers of the rotation parameters up to 6th order and compare numerically with the continued fraction method.
It is not currently known how to put the Kerr spacetime metric into the so-called Gordon form, although the closely related Kerr-Schild form of the Kerr metric is well known. A Gordon form for the Kerr geometry, if it could be found, would be particu larly useful in developing analogue models for the Kerr spacetime, since the Gordon form is explicitly given in terms of the 4-velocity and refractive index of an effective medium. In the current article we report progress toward this goal. First we present the Gordon form for an approximation to Kerr spacetime in the slow-rotation limit, obtained by suitably modifying the well-known Lense-Thirring form of the slow-rotation metric. Second we present the Gordon form for the Kerr spacetime in the near-null limit, (the 4-velocity of the medium being close to null). That these two perturbative approximations to the Kerr spacetime in Gordon form exist gives us some confidence that ultimately one might be able to write the exact Kerr spacetime in this form.

We consider the entanglement dynamics between two-level atoms in a rotating black hole background. In our model the two-atom system is envisaged as an open system coupled with a massless scalar field prepared in one of the physical vacuum states of i nterest. We employ the quantum master equation in the Born-Markov approximation in order to describe the time evolution of the atomic subsystem. We investigate two different states of motion for the atoms, namely static atoms and also stationary atoms with zero angular momentum. The purpose of this work is to expound the impact on the creation of entanglement coming from the combined action of the different physical processes underlying the Hawking effect and the Unruh-Starobinskii effect. We demonstrate that, in the scenario of rotating black holes, the degree of quantum entanglement is significantly modified due to the phenomenon of superradiance in comparison with the analogous cases in a Schwarzschild spacetime. In the perspective of a zero angular momentum observer (ZAMO), one is allowed to probe entanglement dynamics inside the ergosphere, since static observers cannot exist within such a region. On the other hand, the presence of superradiant modes could be a source for violation of complete positivity. This is verified when the quantum field is prepared in the Frolov-Thorne vacuum state. In this exceptional situation, we raise the possibility that the loss of complete positivity is due to the breakdown of the Markovian approximation, which means that any arbitrary physically admissible initial state of the two atoms would not be capable to hold, with time evolution, its interpretation as a physical state inasmuch as negative probabilities are generated by the dynamical map.
We calculate Sorkins spacetime entanglement entropy of a Gaussian scalar field for complementary regions in the 2d cylinder spacetime and show that it has the Calabrese-Cardy form. We find that the cut-off dependent term is universal when we use a co variant UV cut-off. In addition, we show that the relative size-dependent term exhibits complementarity. Its coefficient is however not universal and depends on the choice of pure state. It asymptotes to the universal form within a natural class of pure states.
