We investigate a simplified model of dark matter where a Majorana fermion $chi$ coannihilates with a colored scalar top partner $tilde{t}$. We explore the cosmological history, with particular emphasis on the most relevant low-energy parameters: the mass splitting between the dark matter and the coannihilator, and the Yukawa coupling $y_chi$ that connects these fields to the Standard Model top quarks. We also allow a free quartic coupling $lambda_h$ between a pair of Higgs bosons and $tilde{t}$ pairs. We pay special attention to the case where the values take on those expected where $tilde{t}$ corresponds to the superpartner of the right-handed top, and $chi$ is a bino. Direct detection, indirect detection, and colliders are complementary probes of this simple model.

We provide a systematic effective lagrangian description of the phenomenology of the lightest top-partners in composite Higgs models. Our construction is based on symmetry, on selection rules and on plausible dynamical assumptions. The structure of t he resulting simplified models depends on the quantum numbers of the lightest top partner and of the operators involved in the generation of the top Yukawa. In all cases the phenomenology is conveniently described by a small number of parameters, and the results of experimental searches are readily interpreted as a test of naturalness. We recast presently available experimental bounds on heavy fermions into bounds on top partners: LHC has already stepped well inside the natural region of parameter space.
In this work we reappraise the collider constraints from leptonic final states on the vectorlike colored top partners taking into account the impact of exotic colored vector resonances. These colored states are intrinsic to a broad class of models th at employ a strongly interacting sector to drive electroweak symmetry breaking. We translate the recent results in the {sl monolepton + jets} channel as reported by CMS with an integrated luminosity of 35.8 fb$^{-1}$, and {sl dilepton + jets} and {sl trilepton + jets} channels as reported by ATLAS with an integrated luminosity of 36.1 fb$^{-1}$ to constrain the parameter space of these class of models. We also comment on the impact and modification of the derived constraints due to the expected fatness of the colored vector resonance, when accounted for beyond the narrow-width approximation by simulating the full one-particle irreducible resummed propagator.
Fermionic third generation top partners are generic in composite Higgs models. They are likely to decay into third generation quarks and electroweak bosons. We propose a novel cut-and-count-style analysis in which we cross correlate the model-depende nt single and model-independent pair production processes for the top partners $X_{5/3}$ and $B$. In the class of composite Higgs models we study, $X_{5/3}$ is very special as it is the lightest exotic fermion. A constraint on the mass of $X_{5/3}$ directly extends to constrains on all top partner masses. By combining jet substructure methods with conventional reconstruction techniques we show that in this kind of final state a smooth interpolation between the boosted and unboosted regime is possible. We find that a reinterpretation of existing searches can improve bounds on the parameter space of composite Higgs models. Further, at 8 TeV a combined search for $X_{5/3}$ and $B$ in the $l+rm{jets}$ final state can be more sensitive than a search involving same-sign dileptons.
The ATLAS and CMS collaborations at the LHC have performed analyses on the existing data sets, studying the case of one vector-like fermion or multiplet coupling to the standard model Yukawa sector. In the near future, with more data available, these experimental collaborations will start to investigate more realistic cases. The presence of more than one extra vector-like multiplet is indeed a common situation in many extensions of the standard model. The interplay of these vector-like multiplet between precision electroweak bounds, flavour and collider phenomenology is a important question in view of establishing bounds or for the discovery of physics beyond the standard model. In this work we study the phenomenological consequences of the presence of two vector-like multiplets. We analyse the constraints on such scenarios from tree-level data and oblique corrections for the case of mixing to each of the SM generations. In the present work, we limit to scenarios with two top-like partners and no mixing in the down-sector.

The precision determination of scalar top quark properties will play an important role at a future International Linear Collider (ILC). Recent and ongoing studies are discussed for different experimental topologies in the detector. First results are presented for small mass differences between the scalar top and neutralino masses. This corresponds to a small expected visible energy in the detector. An ILC will be a unique accelerator to explore this scenario. In addition to finding the existence of light stop quarks, the precise measurement of their properties is crucial for testing their impact on the dark matter relic abundance and the mechanism of electroweak baryogenesis. Significant sensitivity for mass differences down to 5 GeV are obtained. The simulation is based on a fast and realistic detector simulation. A vertex detector concept of the Linear Collider Flavor Identification (LCFI)collaboration, which studies pixel detectors for heavy quark flavour identification, is implemented in the simulations for c-quark tagging. The study extends simulations for large mass differences (large visible energy) for which aspects of different detector simulations, the vertex detector design, and different methods for the determination of the scalar top mass are discussed. Based on the detailed simulations we study the uncertainties for the dark matter density predictions and their estimated uncertainties from various sources. In the region of parameters where stop-neutralino co-annihilation leads to a value of the relic density consistent with experimental results, as precisely determined by the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP), the stop-neutralino mass difference is small and the ILC will be able to explore this region efficiently.
