We consider forward neutron production in DIS within fracture functions formalism. By performing a QCD analysis of available data we extract proton-to-neutron fracture functions exploiting a method which is in close relation with the factorisation theorem for this class of processes.

We consider Lambda-hyperon production in the target-fragmentation region of semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering within the framework of fracture functions. We present a first attempt to determine the flavour and energy dependences of these non-p erturbative distributions through a simultaneous QCD-based fit to available neutral- and charged-current semi-inclusive-DIS cross sections. Predictions based on the resulting nucleon-to-Lambda fracture functions are in good agreement with data and observables not included in the regression. The successful prediction of the $Q^2$ dependence of the Lambda multiplicity notably represents the first validation of the perturbative framework implied by fracture functions.

We calculate the diffraction slope $B_{D}$ for diffractive DIS. We find a counterintuitive rise of $B_{D}$ from exclusive diffractive excitation of vector mesons to excitation of continuum states with $M^{2} sim Q^{2}$. For the small-mass continuum w e predict a rapid variation of $B_{D}$ with $M^{2}$ on the scale $m_{V}^{2}$ and a sharp drop of $B_{D}$ for a small-mass continuum above the vector meson excitation.
A new method of extracting diffractive parton distributions is presented which avoids the use of Regge theory ansatz and is in much closer relation with the factorisation theorem for diffractive hard processes.
We discuss implementation of the LHC experimental data sets in the new CT18 global analysis of quantum chromodynamics (QCD) at the next-to-next-leading order of the QCD coupling strength. New methodological developments in the fitting methodology are discussed. Behavior of the CT18 NNLO PDFs for the conventional and saturation-inspired factorization scales in deep-inelastic scattering is reviewed. Four new families of (N)NLO CTEQ-TEA PDFs are presented: CT18, A, X, and Z.

This talk covers three contributions from H1: Measurement of the inclusive e^pm p scattering cross section at high inelasticity y and of the structure function F_L, Determination of the integrated luminosity at HERA using elastic QED Compton events a nd Inclusive deep inelastic scattering at high Q2 with longitudinally polarized lepton beams at HERA. These are new measurements mainly based on the full HREA-II data but include also those from HERA-I in the combination whenever it is relevant. The main results of these measurements are briefly summarized here.
