We present the public C++ library Ninja, which implements the Integrand Reduction via Laurent Expansion method for the computation of one-loop integrals. The algorithm is suited for applications to complex one-loop processes.

We review the current state-of-the-art in integrand level reduction for five-point scattering amplitudes at two loops in QCD. We present some benchmark results for the evaluation of the leading colour two-loop five-gluon amplitudes in the physical re gion as well as the partonic channels for two quarks and three gluons and four quarks and one gluon.
We use dimensional regularization to calculate the ${cal O}(ep^2)$ expansion of all scalar one-loop one-, two-, three- and four-point integrals that are needed in the calculation of hadronic heavy quark production. The Laurent series up to ${cal O}(e p^2)$ is needed as input to that part of the NNLO corrections to heavy flavor production at hadron colliders where the one-loop integrals appear in the loop-by-loop contributions. The four-point integrals are the most complicated. The ${cal O}(ep^2)$ expansion of the three- and four-point integrals contains in general polylogarithms up to ${rm Li}_4$ and functions related to multiple polylogarithms of maximal weight and depth four.

A c++ implementation of the D_s-dimensional unitarity cut algorithm for the numerical evaluation of the virtual contribution to NLO QCD amplitudes is presented. The current version includes an arbitrary number of external gluons with gluonic propagat ors in the loop. The building blocks are tree level color-ordered amplitudes with gluons and with gluons and two scalars in five dimensions. Numerical stability issues are addressed and agreement has been reached with the results published in the literature.
The program package GoSam is presented which aims at the automated calculation of one-loop amplitudes for multi-particle processes. The amplitudes are generated in terms of Feynman diagrams and can be reduced using either D-dimensional integrand-leve l decomposition or tensor reduction, or a combination of both. GoSam can be used to calculate one-loop corrections to both QCD and electroweak theory, and model files for theories Beyond the Standard Model can be linked as well. A standard interface to programs calculating real radiation is also included. The flexibility of the program is demonstrated by various examples.
Recent progress in unitarity techniques for one-loop scattering amplitudes makes a numerical implementation of this method possible. We present a 4-dimensional unitarity method for calculating the cut-constructible part of amplitudes and implement th e method in a numerical procedure. Our technique can be applied to any one-loop scattering amplitude and offers the possibility that one-loop calculations can be performed in an automatic fashion, as tree-level amplitudes are currently done. Instead of individual Feynman diagrams, the ingredients for our one-loop evaluation are tree-level amplitudes, which are often already known. To study the practicality of this method we evaluate the cut-constructible part of the 4, 5 and 6 gluon one-loop amplitudes numerically, using the analytically known 4, 5 and 6 gluon tree-level amplitudes. Comparisons with analytic answers are performed to ascertain the numerical accuracy of the method.
