In this paper, we show how classical statistical field theory techniques can be used to efficiently perform the numerical evaluation of the non-perturbative Schwinger mechanism of particle production by quantum tunneling. In some approximation, we also consider the back-reaction of the produced particles on the external field, as well as the self-interactions of the produced particles.
We develop the effective field theoretical descriptions of spin systems in the presence of symmetry-breaking effects: the magnetic field, single-ion anisotropy, and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction. Starting from the lattice description of spin syst
We study the Schwinger mechanism in QCD in the presence of an arbitrary time-dependent chromo-electric background field $E^a(t)$ with arbitrary color index $a$=1,2,...8 in SU(3). We obtain an exact result for the non-perturbative quark (antiquark) pr
We propose a lattice field theory formulation which overcomes some fundamental difficulties in realizing exact supersymmetry on the lattice. The Leibniz rule for the difference operator can be recovered by defining a new product on the lattice, the s
Different thermalization scenarios for systems with large fields have been proposed in the literature based on classical-statistical lattice simulations approximating the underlying quantum dynamics. We investigate the range of validity of these simu
Quantum chromodynamics (QCD) describes the structure of hadrons such as the proton at a fundamental level. The precision of calculations in QCD limits the precision of the values of many physical parameters extracted from collider data. For example,
