As a consequence of the equivalence principle and of the existence of a negative vacuum energy, we show how a weak but universal linear response of the vacuum to a local gravitational potential suffices to explain the main features of so-called Pioneer anomalies as well as the apparent departure from the third Kepler law which has been observed at the level of numerous galaxies.

A recent proposal describes space based gravitational wave (GW) detection with optical lattice atomic clocks [Kolkowitz et. al., Phys. Rev. D 94, 124043 (2016)] [1]. Based on their setup, we propose a new measurement method for gravitational wave det ection in low frequency with optical lattice atomic clocks. In our method, n successive Doppler signals are collected and the summation for all these signals is made to improve the sensitivity of the low-frequency GW detection. In particular, the improvement is adjustable by the number of Doppler signals, which is equivalent to that the length between two atomic clocks is increased. Thus, the same sensitivity can be reached but with shorter distance, even though the acceleration noises lead to failing to achieve the anticipated improvement below the inflection point of frequency which is determined by the quantum projection noise. Our result is timely for the ongoing development of space-born observatories aimed at studying physical and astrophysical effects associated with low-frequency GW.
The performance of optical clocks has strongly progressed in recent years, and accuracies and instabilities of 1 part in 10^18 are expected in the near future. The operation of optical clocks in space provides new scientific and technological opportu nities. In particular, an earth-orbiting satellite containing an ensemble of optical clocks would allow a precision measurement of the gravitational redshift, navigation with improved precision, mapping of the earths gravitational potential by relativistic geodesy, and comparisons between ground clocks.
We study the distribution of quantum entanglement for continuous variables among causally disconnected open charts in de Sitter space. It is found that genuine tripartite entanglement is generated among the open chart modes under the influence of cur vature of de Sitter space for any nonzero squeezing. Bipartite entanglement is also generated when the curvature is strong enough, even though the observers are separated by the event horizon. This provides a clearcut interpretation of the two-mode squeezing mechanism in the de Sitter space. In addition, the curvature generated genuine tripartite entanglement is found to be less sensitive to the mass parameter than the generated bipartite entanglement. The effects of the curvature of de Sitter space on the generated entanglement become more apparent in the limit of conformal and massless scalar fields.

One brief idea on the extended uncertainty relation and the dynamical quantization of space-time at the Planck scale is presented. The extended uncertainty relation could be a guiding principle toward the renormalizable quantum gravity. Cosmological constant in the Universe as a quantum effect is also roughly estimated.
We study the distribution and generation of quantum coherence for two-mode and multi-mode Gaussian states in de Sitter space. It is found that the quantum coherence is redistributed among the mode in different open charts under the curvature effect o f de Sitter space. In particular, the Gaussian coherence for the initially correlated state is found to survive in the limit of infinite curvature, while quantum entanglement vanishing in this limit. Unlike entanglement and steering, the coherence of a massive scalar field is more robust than a massless field under the influence of curvature of de Sitter space. In addition, it is shown that the curvature generates two-mode Gaussian state and three-mode Gaussian state quantum coherence among the open charts, even though the observers are localized in causally disconnected regions. It is worth noting that the gravity-generated three-mode coherence is extremely sensitive to the curvature effect for the conformal and massless scalar fields, which may be in principle employed to design an effective detector for the space curvature.
