We present a new dispersive formulation of the gamma-Z box radiative corrections to weak charges of bound protons and neutrons in atomic parity violation (APV) measurements on heavy nuclei such as 133-Cs and 213-Ra. We evaluate for the first time a small but important additional correction arising from Pauli blocking of nucleons in a heavy nucleus. Overall, we find a significant shift in the gamma-Z correction to the weak charge of 133-Cs, approximately 4 times larger than the current uncertainty on the value of sin^2(theta_W), but with a reduced error compared to earlier estimates.
We present a new formulation of one of the major radiative corrections to the weak charge of the proton -- that arising from the axial-vector hadron part of the $gamma Z$ box diagram, $Re{rm e}, Box_{gamma Z}^{rm A}$. This formulation, based on dispe
The nuclear Chirality-Parity (ChP) violation, a simultaneous breaking of chiral and reflection symmetries in the intrinsic frame, is investigated with a reflection-asymmetric triaxial particle rotor model. A new symmetry for an ideal ChP violation sy
The effects of parity violation in the interaction of relativistic polarized protons and deuterons are discussed. Within Glaubers approach, estimates are obtained for P-odd asymmetries in the total and elastic scattering cross sections, in the deuter
We calculate higher-order corrections to the quenching factor of heavy-quark jets due to hard, in-medium splittings in the framework of the BDMPS-Z formalism. These corrections turn out to be sensitive to a single mass-scale $m_ast = (hat q L)^{1/2}$
We propose the measurement of net $Lambda$ and $bar{Lambda}$ helicity, correlated event-by-event with the magnitude and sign of charge separation along the events magnetic field direction, as a probe to investigate the Chiral Magnetic Effect in Heavy
