The article contains the calculation of the efficiency of ideal ferrielectric energy converter, the working body of which is ferrielectric and which converts the heat energy of low-potential water into the electric energy. Its operation is based on the sharp dependence of capacitivity of ferrielectric on the temperature of dielectric-ferrielectric structural phase transition in the vicinity of Curie temperature.

We theoretically study the collective excitations of an ideal gas confined in an isotropic harmonic trap. We give an exact solution to the Boltzmann-Vlasov equation; as expected for a single-component system, the associated mode frequencies are integ er multiples of the trapping frequency. We show that the expressions found by the scaling ansatz method are a special case of our solution. Our findings, however, are most useful in case the trap contains more than one phase: we demonstrate how to obtain the oscillation frequencies in case an interface is present between the ideal gas and a different phase.

We show how the remotest sites of a finite lattice can be entangled, with the amount of entanglement exceeding that of a singlet, solely through the dynamics of an ideal Bose gas in a special initial state in the lattice. When additional occupation n umber measurements are made on the intermediate lattice sites, then the amount of entanglement and the length of the lattice separating the entangled sites can be significantly enhanced. The entanglement generated by this dynamical procedure is found to be higher than that for the ground state of an ideal Bose gas in the same lattice. A second dynamical evolution is shown to verify the existence of these entangled states, as well entangle qubits belonging to well separated quantum registers.
In this paper we revisit the thermocouple model, as a linear irreversible thermodynamic energy converter. As is well known, the linear model of the thermocuple is one of the classics in this branch. In this model we note two types of phenomenological coefficients: the first comes from some microscopic models, such as the coefficient associated with the electric conductivity, and the second comes from experimental facts such as the coefficient associated with the thermoelectric power. We show that in the last case, these coefficients can be related to the operation modes of the converter. These relationships allow us to propose a generalization of the first and second Thomsons relations. For this purpose we develop the ideas of non-isothermal linear converters, operated directly (heat engine) and indirect (refrigerator). In addition to this development we analyze the energy described by these converters.
Electrical circuits with transient elements can be good examples of systems where non--steady irreversible processes occur, so in the same way as a steady state energy converter, we use the formal construction of the first order irreversible thermody namic (FOIT) to describe the energetics of these circuits. In this case, we propose an isothermic model of two meshes with transient and passive elements, besides containing two voltage sources (which can be functions of time); this is a non--steady energy converter model. Through the Kirchhoff equations, we can write the circuit phenomenological equations. Then, we apply an integral transformation to linearise the dynamic equations and rewrite them in algebraic form, but in the frequency space. However, the same symmetry for steady states appears (cross effects). Thus, we can study the energetic performance of this converter model by means of two parameters: the force ratio and the coupling degre. Furthermore, it is possible to obtain the characteristic functions (dissipation function, power output, efficiency, etc.). They allow us to establish a simple optimal operation regime of this energy converter. As an example, we obtain the converter behavior for the maximum efficient power regime (MPE).
Compared to AgNbO3 based ceramics, the experimental investigations on the single crystalline AgNbO3, especially the ground state and ferroic domain structures, are not on the same level. Here in this work, based on successfully synthesized AgNbO3 sin gle crystal using flux method, we observed the coexistence of ferroelastic and ferrielectric domain structures by a combination study of polarized light microscopy and piezoresponse force microscope, this finding may provide a new aspect for studying AgNbO3. The result also suggests a weak electromechanical response from the ferrielectric phase of AgNbO3 which is also supported by the transmission electron microscope characterization. Our results reveal that the AgNbO3 single crystal is in a polar ferrielectric phase at room temperature, clarifying its ground state which is controversial from the AgNbO3 ceramic materials.
