A scenario is presented where the $s$, $c$, and $b$ quark fusion Higgs production cross sections are enhanced with respect to those of the Standard Model. In particular the $c$ quark fusion production is very important and can account for a significant contribution at the Large Hadron Collider. The light Higgs couplings to vector bosons are sufficiently suppressed to allow its mass to lie below the LEP bound of 115 GeV and due to enhanced couplings to second family fermions, the Higgs decay to $mu$ pairs is large enough to be detectable. This is accomplished with a model incorporating three Higgs doublets charged under a flavor symmetry.

We study a flavor model with $A_4$ symmetry which originates from $S_4$ modular group. In $S_4$ symmetry, $Z_2$ subgroup can be anomalous, and then $S_4$ can be violated to $A_4$. Starting with a $S_4$ symmetric Lagrangian at the tree level, the Lagr angian at the quantum level has only $A_4$ symmetry when $Z_2$ in $S_4$ is anomalous. We obtain modular forms of two singlets and a triplet representations of $A_4$ by decomposing $S_4$ modular forms into $A_4$ representations. We propose a new $A_4$ flavor model of leptons by using those $A_4$ modular forms. We succeed in constructing a viable neutrino mass matrix through the Weinberg operator for both normal hierarchy (NH) and inverted hierarchy (IH) of neutrino masses. Our predictions of the CP violating Dirac phase $delta_{CP}$ and the mixing $sin^2theta_{23}$ depend on the sum of neutrino masses for NH.
We consider extended scalar sectors of the Standard Model as ultraviolet-complete motivations for studying the effective Higgs self-interaction operators of the Standard Model effective field theory. We investigate all motivated heavy scalar models w hich generate the dimension-6 effective operator, $|H|^6$, at tree level and proceed to identify the full set of tree-level dimension-six operators by integrating out the heavy scalars. Of seven models which generate $|H|^6$ at tree level only two, quadruplets of hypercharge $Y=3Y_H$ and $Y=Y_H$, generate only this operator. Next we perform global fits to constrain relevant Wilson coefficients from the LHC single Higgs measurements as well as the electroweak oblique parameters $S$ and $T$. We find that the $T$ parameter puts very strong constraints on the Wilson coefficient of the $|H|^6$ operator in the triplet and quadruplet models, while the singlet and doublet models could still have Higgs self-couplings which deviate significantly from the standard model prediction. To determine the extent to which the $|H|^6$ operator could be constrained, we study the dihiggs signatures at the future 100 TeV collider and explore future sensitivity of this operator. Projected onto the Higgs potential parameters of the extended scalar sectors, with $3$ ab$^{-1}$ luminosity data we will be able to explore the Higgs potential parameters in all seven models.
We demonstrate that multiple-Higgs production at the LHC is the most sensitive probe of first and second-generation quark flavor in the Higgs sector. In models where new scalars couple to light quarks, gigantic di-Higgs and even sizable tri-Higgs pro duction rates can be obtained, which can be used to either discover or severely constrain such theories. As an example, we show that the most stringent bounds on enhanced interactions of the $125,textrm{GeV}$ Higgs to the down quark in extended Higgs sectors are obtained by looking for the extra Higgs bosons that provide for such enhancements using the di-Higgs and $Zh$ topologies. In this context, we set new limits on the 125 GeV Higgs coupling to the down quark as strong as $lambda_{hdbar{d}} lesssim 30 lambda_{hdbar{d}}^{textrm{SM}}$ -- a dramatic improvement over previously available bounds. Regarding second-generation quark flavor, we obtain new limits in the coupling to strange as strong as $lambda_{hsbar{s}} lesssim 10 lambda_{hsbar{s}}^{textrm{SM}}$. In addition, we show that the currently unexplored triple-Higgs production topology could be a potential discovery channel of a wide variety of extended Higgs sectors at the LHC, including not only models where extra Higgses couple to light quarks, but also popular theories where they have preferential couplings to the the top.
A modest extension of the Standard Model by two additional Higgs doublets - the Higgs Troika Model - can provide a well-motivated scenario for successful baryogenesis if neutrinos are Dirac fermions. Adapting the Spontaneous Flavor Violation framewor k, we consider a version of the Troika model where light quarks have significant couplings to the new multi-TeV Higgs states. Resonant production of new scalars leading to di-jet or top-pair signals are typical predictions of this setup. The initial and final state quarks relevant to the collider phenomenology also play a key role in baryogenesis, potentially providing direct access to the relevant early Universe physics in high energy experiments. Viable baryogenesis generally prefers some hierarchy of masses between the observed and the postulated Higgs states. We show that there is a complementarity between direct searches at a future 100 TeV $pp$ collider and indirect searches at flavor experiments, with both sensitive to different regions of parameter space relevant for baryogenesis. In particular, measurements of $D-bar{D}$ mixing at LHCb probe much of the interesting parameter space. Direct and indirect searches can uncover the new Higgs states up to masses of $mathcal{O}(10)$ TeV, thereby providing an impressive reach to investigate this model.
We perform a comprehensive search for Standard Model extensions inspired by asymptotic safety. Our models feature a singlet matrix scalar field, three generations of vector-like leptons, and direct links to the Higgs and flavor sectors via new Yukawa and portal couplings. A novel feature is that the enlarged scalar sector may spontaneously break lepton flavor universality. We provide a complete two-loop renormalization group analysis of the running gauge, Yukawa, and quartic couplings to find ultraviolet fixed points and the BSM critical surface of parameters, $i.e.$ the set of boundary conditions at the TeV scale for which models remain well-behaved and predictive up to the Planck scale without encountering Landau poles or instabilities. This includes templates for asymptotically safe Standard Model extensions which match the measured values of gauge couplings and the Higgs, top, and bottom masses. We further detail the phenomenology of our models covering production, decay, fermion mixing, anomalous magnetic moments, effects from scalar mixing and chiral enhancement, and constraints on model parameters from data. Signatures at proton-proton and lepton colliders such as lepton flavor violation and displaced vertices, and the prospect for electric dipole moments or charged lepton-flavor-violating type processes, are also indicated.
